Read Eat to Live by Joel Furhman and you have a better understanding of what the body needs to thrive.

Processed/refined sugar is the devil. Unrefined sugars in fruit, veggies, even things like pure maple syrup are not the devil. They are full of vitamins and minerals that refined sugars lack.

While I strive not to buy or consume food and other products made from animals for my own health and ethical reasons, this "true vegan" --are you perfect enough, good enough, VEGAN enough--will not help this movement catch on. Getting into squirrelly conversations about how "vegan" you are tends to intimidate and alienate…

Just a cute underpants, thank you. If my husband can enjoy sleeping in just his boxers, I can go topless too. Not like he's complaining...

No, cause it's chucked full of chemicals that slow your body's "clean up" crew (fat loss). I drink water with lemon, with strawberry, with orange slices, with lime, with raspberries, with cucumber....

THIS JUST MADE MY DAY! Yup! I've Earned my STRIPES carrying my child!
-
Wow! Amazing progress! Just for reference, how tall are you?

While I would never wear something called a "fatkini," I do think they are flattering for a woman's shape. At any size. Basically this is a retro bikini that had a high cut brief--before the era of extra low rise jeans. Maybe I do want one...hmmm...

Snowball Union. Uh Huh.

What? Pregnant? I was doing heavy lifting the DAY before my son was born--yes, squats. My labor was highly efficient, about 4 hours for first baby, and recovery was quicker than I expected--thanks to lifting. Use those muscles and have a way better pregnancy and recovery than the average Jane!

LIar, Liar Thankfully, soon after "LIar, Liar" I met my wonderful husband and now it's "Life Is Beautiful!"

My nickname growing up was "T-Rex" (thanks, Dad) because I loved eating meat--roasts, burgers, grilled chicken so much. Then I realized that my eating habits were costing several "lives" a day. http://www.veganoutreach.org/EIYLM.pdf I am happy to say I've been vegetarian close to half my life now, and vegan the last two+…

But isn't a gallon of milk heavier than water? * * * Totally agree--"heavy" lifting benefits both men and women alike. Thanks!

I like how your story is simple: I did it! CONGRATS and I am sure you have inspired many more than you may even know!

A VERTICAL belly button vs a semi horizontal one. :-) Getting there!

Splenda is a byproduct from lab work aimed at developing insecticides. I _would_ not eat. Sweeten with a natural sweetener until you can train yourself to drink your coffee "black."

Be glad you "caught" yourself when you did and that you are on the right path now. Good work on the first 11 pounds and may you have perseverance for those that remain! KEEP It UP!

If you have a chance, get a copy of Eat to Live by Dr. Joel Fuhrman (vegan dietitian and world class athlete and medalist). He basically says, don't "worry" about protein. Worry about eating enough greens first and foremost. Worry about eating "nutrient dense" vs. all this complicated macros/micros stuff. Your body will…

I'm happier they are smaller--makes it easier to be active and not feel so bouncy!

Ditch the high sodium items (cheese, salted nuts, bacon) Replace with more detoxing items: Cucumbers, fruits--fruits and veggies with high water content. You will feel lighter and the weight will come off too! :-D

All.

Dr. Joel Fuhrman, one of America's most esteemed weight-loss specialists/doctor/nutritionist says that the average American eats way too much protein. The body can only handle so much protein at a time--the rest is just broken down and flushed out of the body. Too much protein taxes your vital organs. He says excessive…

Marriage should be celebrated, divorce should not! [/quote] ^^Yaaay^^ We just celebrated our 4th anniversary. Honestly, it is hard to remember what my life was like prior to even meeting my husband. He took what was black and white to a vibrant full color spectrum. I pray every day that we will grow old and gray with each…

Yes, sorry I didn't see this! I am so glad I have one, have used for about a year so far and never going back to anything else.

Try this: www.divacup.com Takes a little getting used to, but once you do, you will never go back to other methods. No [leaks] and you only have to change once a day, in the privacy of your home. Change and clean in the shower works really well. It is the cleanest way to handle TOM.

Yeah, pretty much eggs are gross. And what they really are is a hen's period. Eating period. Eating a chicken's loaded maxi pad. NOM NOM NOM....VOMIT.
