  • I don't mind eating one here and there, leaving the other in the pkg or feeding it to the dog. I really like the cherry frosted ones. They have oatmeal poptarts. I don't recommend them. They are horribly dry and crunchy.

  • Let your daughter define her femininity. The biggest impact you will have is your acceptance, or not, of how she defines herself. You're a good dad for thinking ahead, but please don't over think it. And don't box her in to a gender role for fear of screwing up or being a bad gender influence. Good luck. :)
  • Op, you keep saying you're gonna cut and run, but then come back to tell us how mean and horrible we are. You could stop stomping your feet and listen to everyone trying to point out why you're getting this visual crapstorm and then adjust... ...or you can keep coming back, telling us we are all doodyheads who hurt your…
  • For the thread flounce.
  • http://jn.nutrition.org/content/133/2/405.full?%3f This is a study that indicates a more balanced protein/carb ratio leads to more stable insulin and glucose levels. You'll notice, OP, that the authors use the basic 0.8g/kg standard as determined by both the NIH and IOM. Their elevated protein level was 1.5g/kg. I think…
  • 5' 6", 244 lbs, and I wear a 20-22 on top and a 22-24 on the bottom. Unless I go to DressBarn, then suddenly I am wearing 18s.
  • Right. This makes no sense even more than the first no sense.
  • Just want to add some sugar in your gas tank, lady. No, not all of us got fat because moderation and maintenance were evil words. Look up some of the side effects of klonopin, depo provera, risperidal, and zoloft. Throw in lithium. Common side effect: weight gain and insulin resistance. Klonopin is great at encouraging you…
  • I dunno, I feel pretty in touch with all my potassium, calcium, chlorine, sodium, and so on and so forth. Or is this a rant against the uppity cfl bulbs and you're missing those good old tungsten days? I'm so confused.
  • When my options for grocery buying is Walmart, Target, and Sams Club, yeah, yeah it is. Also, try buying that crap on food stamps. Good for you if it made you magically better. Must be the 1-5% of the population that actually has a problem. I think the nearest trader's joe or whatever else trendy pretentious market is over…
  • I'm still trying like hell to figure out how one goes "no sugar" and panics over the amount of sugar in lemons... ...but puts cups of dextrose in cakes or tablespoons in bars, sauces, and mayo.
  • Oh, that reminds me - switched my random white chocolate mocha from SB with the Hazelnut Macchiatto. The taste is still amazing IMO and the cals are half. Switching to soy milk also helped my digestion - didn't switch for cals there. Part of the challenge in switching at my house is that I have, HAVE, to provide…
  • I've switched flour tortilla wraps for red leaf lettuce when eating taco chicken or something similar. The calories in a wrap are ridiculous and made me sad. I actually found out I liked it. Added bonus, the kids see Mom eating leaves and aren't afraid of lettuce like their father. Also switched to plain greek yogurt in my…
  • If I want something sweet but don't really need something sweet, I like to eat a little bit of dry cereal. Cinnamon Toast Crunch, Life cereal, Oatmeal Squares...just a little hint of sweet and filling, takes some time to eat because it is finger foods. I don't keep supersweet cereals in the house.
  • +1 Can't read it without singing it. :drinker:
  • Past female dog names in my family: Lady Lucy Babe (as in the pig, not the Big Blue Ox) Miller (my Dad likes his beer) Suzie Autumn (We actually call her Coward) Syrai (Sih-rye) Old Girl (she was a dog that just wandered into the yard. Pretty old, but she answered to it.) My current Pit-Lab cross is named Sable. I wanted…
  • Before: I can't change. It is too scary and so unknown. I'll just stay fat, I know how to do this. After: I can't stay this way. It is too scary and too well-known. I'm not going to stay fat. I can do this.
  • I'm sorry to hear about your Dad. It sounds like he had hepatic encephalopathy, which happens when the liver can't break down our extra ammonia. There is a medication, Lactulose, given to some liver failure patients that helps them excrete the excess, but it causes icky diarrhea at the same time. People generally won't…
  • Well have fun completely altering your body on a disproven hunch, buddy. I'm going to go to bed. You haven't actaully proven a damn thing yet, much less named one of these toxins you're going to (not) flush, yet here you are, whinging away why we are all wrong and you have all the answers. Good luck with that. Don't forget…
  • http://healthcare.utah.edu/paincenter/Education/Vitamins.html To quote: Vitamins are either water-soluble or fat-soluble. Excessive doses of water-soluble vitamins are simply excreted in the urine, but do no harm. Are you going to call up the University of Utah Medical Center and tell them they are patently false because…
  • Because the external surface of your *kitten* is not covered in thick slimy mucus that facilitates the passage of stool forward. At least it shouldn't be. The outside of your tuchus is not the same as the inside. Stop trying to make them match.
  • Why do you seem to think your intestinal surface should be squeaky clean after each dump? What exactly do you think your intestines are supposed to look like, that shiny pink velvet-carpet image they put in the anatomy books?
  • So if you don't throw away the pulp. why don't you just eat the apple or kale or blueberries? What did mashing the heck out of them achieve? What's the point behind this? Did Ninja and Magic Bullet somehow start a bunch of fake studies to convince a bunch of gullible people they must take their fruits and veggies in liquid…
  • Flush. And before you start jumping on the couch like Tom Cruise, that's for VISIBILITY, not some bogeyman toxins. I've seen colonoscopies, I've helped perform them, I've helped people prep for them. I have it from the Dr's mouth: GoLytely is so that they can SEE what and where they are going. Not to clean out your magic…
  • Look, when your most credible source is WebMD, and their 'sources' are "some people" and "ancient beliefs", you don't have a statistical leg to stand on, dude. There's a reason they kept dying in their early thirties when people practiced their "ancient beliefs", your colon cleansing included. Unless you're drinking…
  • So I am confused and looking for clarification. When people juice, does this mean they shove however many pounds of various vegetables and fruits through an actual juicer machine that dumps the pulp and they just drink the juice? I thought people were blending the fruits and veggies into a drinkable liquid. Wouldn't this…
  • I think the best punishment for you would be to tell you not to punish yourself. You'll just obsess over it more and feed into a vicious cycle of anger, despair, and loathing. Or you can just shrug it off, recognize you are human like the rest of us, and move on to the next day.
  • Sleeping together is important to us, but if we aren't together, it isn't the end of the world. We have some of our most complicated, indepth conversations lying on our backs in the dark late at night. I fall asleep holding onto his pinky finger under the pillow usually. There's usually no kissin and smoochin in the…
  • It's killing me to have all these amazing chances to do skills and I have to just watch. Killing me. Aaaaggghhhh!!!!
  • None. A good rinse and maybe a little scrub and we're ready to go.
