Thank you all for your input -- i find it very helpful. Somehow the obvious doesn't seem so obvious at times. I wasn't even thinking if i didn't eat all my weight loss calories, how much impact that might provide. By your sig's, you guys are doing GREAT!! that's so inspiring. I was told years ago by a nutritionist at a hospital, that to loose 1 lb a week, you had to eat 500 LESS calories a day (7 days x 500 cal is your 3500 cal a week). Just seemed easier to get my mind around when put that way!

well, maybe there is an inconsistency, because my 'fat goal' is 40 (which would seem to be grams), and yet the 1% Kroger milk put 20 in the fat gram column....will have to look closer at the other items. thanks! Created by MyFitnessPal.com - Calorie Counter

Shoot, i thought it was fat grams in the food and now, i see that the milk entry i used is showing fat calories....is that right?

Hi there. My BMR is said to be 1232 cal/day. So to lose weight i have to consume at least 500 cal a day less than that or exercise x-amount of calories off of that intake, right? but everyone says not to consume less than 1200 cal a day....? Or do i not understand the BMR concept? thanks for any help.
