exercise DVD suggestions please!
I have a plate and screws in my leg, so cannot do a bunch of jumping type movements, and don't care for floor exercises, but would like to know your suggestions. I have a number of Leslie Sansone ones that I do occasionally, but am rather tired of her. Thanks!

Should I record weight gains too?
I record my weights on Sunday mornings. But I weighed 2 days early and was so discouraged that it appears I am gaining weight now. I have slacked up lately and its catching me fast! I just hate the thought of putting on paper a gain rather than a loss. If come weigh-day I am still showing a gain, should I record it? Do you?

how low for low carb diet?
I was told by a friend that i should not consume more than 70 carbs a day to lose weight. I have been consuming probably more like 150-170 a day. I looked at WebMD and it seems that low carbs can be quite unhealthy. So how low is too low?

I am still unclear about a couple things: If I aim for intake of 1200 calories and then exercise, would I be more likely to lose weight if I eat my exercise calories or have better success if I don't? trying to find particular All-bran muffin recipe
The one a friend gave me calls for 3 cups all bran, 2-1/2 cups water 1-1/2 tsp baking powder Three 6.5-oz muffin mix pkg's or 1 low-fat brownie mix pkg. I saw this in print somewhere, that i thought only used 1 pkg of muffin mix -- but i can't find it! If one pkg works, i'd rather as it would surely have less calories...…

does microwaving reduce fiber?
I'm needing to focus on getting the maximum fiber in my diet, and for convenience have been cooking my old fashioned oats in the microwave. But if that reduces the fiber value, then i'll go back to dirtying a pan. Does anyone know? thanks.

creating nutrition info
If i take all the ingredients of a recipe i make, add up the various calories/nutrition data and divide it by the number of servings, is that accurate nutritional information then? Seems reasonable, but does anyone know for sure?

Maybe this would work in your area? No one wanted to drive 25+ miles to join official wt loss groups in the larger town...a group of gals in the neighborhood started something local. frustrated with home/goal page.
I am told we should not go under 1200 calories a day. I put the maximum exercise i could aim for a day (75 min) and even at 6 days a week, its only showing me to have a goal of losing 0.7 lb a week. food log -- is it recording fat grams or fat calories??
Shoot, i thought it was fat grams in the food and now, i see that the milk entry i used is showing fat calories....is that right?

question re BMR and exercise
Hi there. My BMR is said to be 1232 cal/day. So to lose weight i have to consume at least 500 cal a day less than that or exercise x-amount of calories off of that intake, right? but everyone says not to consume less than 1200 cal a day....? Or do i not understand the BMR concept? thanks for any help.
