I take Met and I think it has helped with weight loss but not just because I'm taking a pill. The stomach side effects from Met are lessened for me when I keep my carbs low. If I go overboard with carbs/sugar, I get really sick. So its kind of an incentive to eat well.

When using the HRM for workouts it is your total burn BMR+workout. The HRM is not effective for measuring your daily activity or activities where your heart rate is not in the target zone. If you want that I would suggest the Body bug type device.

This is great! I try my best on work days to preplan the night before. If I know my breakfast and lunch I'll make sure that's logged. Sometimes I take things out that I haven't eaten but that's a good thing!

As soon as the kids are in bed, I clean up from dinner and clean the living room (my workout room). I try to maximize my time. I usually do some type of HIIT video for roughly 20-30 minutes. I'm in the same boat as you. Logged for 150 days with a few slips here and there, nothing crazy. For me, I need this to be the new way I live my life and I'm guessing those slips and occasional periods of time where your not on point..is a normal part of life. I'm ok with my "slips" and ok knowing that I could have lost…

I do my best to estimate what I'm having, or make sure I'm having something I can easily break down the ingredients to log. That being said, if this local restaurant targets healthy eaters, you would think they would give you some Nutritional Info!

The monitor does not take into account what you would have burned doing nothing. Some people take amount and subtract it from the amount the monitor shows burned. That being said, I don't. Everyone is different but.. I have PCOS and generally keep my carbs under 100 for day and I'm losing at a good rate. It seems to be a good number for my body. I would mess around with your cals, start lowering them and maybe upper the carbs a bit. Good luck!

I use a Polar FT4 HRM. I also use Gympact (they pay you for working out, you pay them if you miss it). I also use Map my Walk, Runkeeper and of course MFP.

agreed. i was in so much pain with with twins, combined with lack of sleep, I literally had no time to eat. most men don't get it. sorry dude. I used to put the twins in boppy pillows on either side of me on the couch and hold a bowl of cereal in my lap.

I agree with the others. Start small, like logging everything for a whole week (and more) or cutting out one particular item, such as soda. You can do thiS!

Weekends are hard. I love the Monday morning weigh in. I just try and modify. If I know I'm going out for lunch I make sure my breakfast and dinner are normal weekday meals. I skip the frys, the sodas etc. That being said I'm not perfect but I don't expect my life to be perfect. I do my best. And I try to get good workouts…

You have to be your own advocate when it comes it medical issues. If you think there may be an underlying medical issue for the way you feel, you should get tested. Find a new doctor. Please. Without a HRM, I would log as Circuit Training and only eat back half of the calories given. (If you eat back excercise calories). I know for Level 1 30 DS my HRM shows it burns between 170-180 calories and MFP has it at least 100 more than that.

I did the same, starting weight the day I started logging here again. I'd be 70 pounds down if I started with my highest pregnancy weight!!
