I got some scales from amazon, i'm sure they we're pretty inexpensive but they're amazing. I can't believe how wrong I was about my portion sizes! Especially pasta and rice- I must have been eating almost 200g before I started weighing things!

I saw something online that said something along the lines of this: if you fell over on your way to work, would you turn around and go home? No. You'd get up and carry on. Accept that you had a bad weekend, and make sure the rest of your week is as healthy as possible :)

Sounds like a few people have seen really good results with turbofire. Can somebody tell me a little bit about this programme like what kind of exercises are involved and how intense is it compared to say, 30 day shred for example?

I 've been doing a few fitnessblender workouts recently, they're so good! I hadn't heard of this one before but will give it a try tomorrow. Does anyone have any suggestions about what to substitute burpees for? I'm with you guys, HATE them!

Personally I'd have a tough time choosing because everything on that menu sounds delicious!! The Penne alla Arrabbiata sounds like a safe choice but I say get what you fancy and carry on as normal the next day :)

If you choose pasta, anything with a tomato based sauce is going to be healthier than a creamy cheese sauce. Maybe try and refrain from having extra Parmesan on top as well and that should help.

I would suggest Jillian Michaels 30 day shred because it is a GREAT workout, but there's quite a lot of squats and lunges so probably not be the best idea for you. I've recently discovered fitnessblender.com - there are loads of great workout routines on there of varying difficulties, and ones to work certain parts of your…

I've not done insanity myself but I would think it's better to do your exercise in the morning. It's a great way to wake you up and put you in a good mood for the rest of the day. I think if you do it at night you'll be more likely to have trouble sleeping.

I started tracking it under dancing. But I saw something online, i'm not sure it was this website but it was similar to it http://caloriesburnedhq.com/zumba-calories-burned/ I just tried it with my stats on this site and it came out with a very similar number of calories to my HRM so you could create your own exercise…

I'm always skeptical when I see studies like those because they don't establish causation. We don't know if the study accounted for the general diet of it's participants for example. I saw another one today about diet drinks being linked to depression. I'm not saying diet drinks are good for you, but if you don't drink…

I'm doing it without weights at the moment. I know it's not going to be as effective but I figured it's better to do it without weights than not at all!

Oh okay, thanks for that. I had always wondered x

I heard celery doesn't contain any calories at all and because its so chewy you actually burn calories eating it. Not sure how true that is but it's a nice thought! Also drinking freezing cold water, apparently your body burns calories warming it back up?

I'd like to join please, I'm 10 days in and could use the extra motivation x

If you can't get to a psychologist, i'd 100% recommend an anxiety self-help book. Someone posted the link to one earlier but i'd recommend the 'Overcoming... ' series, I believe there is an overcoming panic one. Essentially they're going to tell you the same sort of things though. There's also some online cognitive…

I saw a dietitian about 5 years ago when I was a teenager. I had to go about once a month and they just kept track of my weight and made me keep food diaries, advised me on what sort of things I should be eating and what I shouldn't be, drink more water, eat more fruit & veg and less cakes- that sort of thing. I also…

Im doing L1 day 3 tonight & for the first time i'm excited to exercise! I feel like its really doing something, the last sit ups with the legs absolutely kill me but I manage. I haven't really done any exercise for years and so i'm quite unfit. It makes me feel really proud of myself that I can actually finish it with no…

I started 30ds yesterday and I am very unfit, pretty much did no exercise beforehand. I'm not gonna lie to you, it's tough but doable as long as you have the motivation! Seeing all the results on here is really motivating me to finish the whole 30 days!
