Hey everyone, Lost 90 pounds a few years ago, gained 30 back after some emotional eating issues and a bad infection, trying my damndest to get motivated and committed to losing 15 of it (I got too skinny for my liking/health the first time, which I guess is common in major loss.) Need some motivation buddies. ♡

BE ADVISED **Something that not many people who need to lose more than 50lbs (not sure if you do but this IS important) are made aware of is that skin integrity becomes an issue. You reach your goal weight and are like "Well, this is wonderful when I'm *clothed*..." That is why toning is so important, even when you are…

This is 10000% true. From personal experience as an ex fat kid.

THIS! Perfectly put.

Personally, eating clean works wonders. I lost weight quickly because I wasn't eating artificial "foods" anymore. I didn't go all organic - but I read ingredient labels, and whenever I can I purchase organic "processed foods" like crackers, chips, etc. I eat only sprouted bread (Ezekial bread found in the freezer section…

I'm a 5'4'' female and I lost weight the quickest at 1500 calories a day, no exercise. I slowed down at 1200. 1200 is the bare minimum that your body needs not to screech your metabolism to a halt. If I were you, I would slowly increase to 1700 and see how you do. You might lose weight in a quicker, healthier manner. You'd…

Omg, I am so glad this isn't/wasn't just me!!! From my personal experience: Before I reached my goal weight, I would not see heaviness in the mirror. I don't know if it was denial or what, but I would not see it. When people took shots that I was ready for, I would usually be OK with them because I'm blessed enough to be…

No recipes, but add it to oatmeal somehow.

I understand and appreciate these feels.

I log EVERYTHING. Even my cheat days. That way things don't get out of hand. It keeps me accountable. I ate what I wanted last Christmas and still lost weight that week because I exercised on my Gazelle Glider like a beast. I recommend that method. Worked great and I felt like an effing champ for losing at Christmas time.…

This is genius.

People who aren't involved in weight loss usually don't understand it. Wait til you get the, "Don't lose any more weight" comments. I started getting those when I was 160lbs... I'm 5'4''... Is anyone f*#$ing home? ... Facebook just... kinda sucks.

I've always felt a close and strong connection to Aphrodite, so much so that I could easily be a handmaiden or a priestess.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dBnniua6-oM For anyone wanting to expand their research on HFCS, and other sugars, this is an hour an a half documentary. He gets into how the body processes HFCS in the middle somewhere (haven't watched it in a while). Enjoy! :)

Thank you! Someone understands!!! Also: TAPIOCA SYRUP IS HIGH FRUCTOSE, DAMMIT!!!!!!!!!!! Glad I read this!

1/2 cup dry steel cut oats - 300 calories and 1 cup frozen mixed berries 70 calories OR 1 Amy's Frozen Organic Mac n Cheese - 400 calories OR Tomato, squash, mushrooms, and some kind of meat. That usually doesn't even equal 300 calories because of how crazy low cal squash seems to be.

S'mores of any persuasion. Particularly the ice cream persuasion.

I've recently hit maintenance. I've been trying to find my balance. I was at 1800, was still losing. Then tried 1925. Still losing. Trying 2150 now. This *should* be a good number based on the Scooby TDEE calculator http://scoobysworkshop.com/calorie-calculator/ and the fact that I'm probably going to start an exercise…

This is my new affirmation to dealing with my loose skin: I am grateful for this skin which is no longer filled with fat. I know that with exercise and (if needed) surgery, my skin will be tight again. I had a long talk with a friend of mine who told me that my loose skin is beautiful because it is a sign of all I have…

That sounds really tasty! I've done the Master Cleanse before, and it was intense. The body may gain back water weight, HOWEVER, after a cleanse you feel fantastic. I have found since I've done my cleanse, all soda that isn't natural (or A&W diet rootbeer for some reason) tastes disgusting and much like a poison to me.…

Thank you, thank you, *bows* :D

Trying to swerve away from a spider that was descending from the ceiling. After a moment's chaos I pulled over and squished it. In my defense, this happened after Anime Boston in which I had little to no sleep all weekend and was exhausted almost to the point of tears.

Thanks for the link, the calculator definitely has it's advantages! :)

Thank you everyone for your responses. I appreciate the support. I do understand that it probably is water weight, when I said "Don't tell me it's water weight" I was frantic and could have worded it better. I meant more like, besides the obvious, what else could it be. And I apologize for the defensive nature of my…

Although I appreciate the answer, I'm not asking for people to be confrontational. This has been one of the hardest journeys of my life, and I want to catch a break. I can't take someone judging me right now. If I had a problem I wouldn't be trying to maintain at this point. I'm from a heavy family and I hate the thought…

Thank you to my friends who read this and replied to it :) You guys have helped me to keep on trucking, and probably will while I continue with toning and eventual maintaining. You guys rock! And thank you to anyone else who has read this and replied to it, or has simply read it. I wanted to write it because if I could do…

Thank you! :) I feel great! You will get there if you work for it. It's always ok to take it slow and allow for baby steps. I wish you luck on your journey!

I grew up in a family of heavy people. When I was a young girl and wasn't living with my family, and just with my mom, I was heavy. Once I moved in with the rest of the family, food became a central part of my life. My grandmother would cook heavy meals which were sometimes deep fried. As a child, I couldn't resist the…

Anime Boston doesn't disappoint. Then there's ConnectiCon, and in RI the NecrinomiCon (HP Lovecraft themed Con-I died laughing at the name)
