So I'll keep going as normal? I do suffer with my thyroid but I believe I'm adequately medicated I'm ringing the Dr this morning to get a blood form to check my levels I do have a great talent of holding water. Christmas I held 7lbs of it. I just thought I would show a little loss from the previous gain I had?

6lbs is extensive, are you eating your exercise calories? i wouldn't definitely go and get a food scale and try 1 full week weighing everything by grams or ounzes, see what happens, i dont think its the exercise although you are likely to hold water from any new or extended exercise you do. muscle doesnt weigh more than…

i just asked why would the water still retain in my body for 4 days after i been back to normal eating, i didnt ask why i fluctuated.
-
thats brill thank you for that, its hard training the brain to analyse the gains, and assess whether its water or true gain, but you are correct, my Christmas gain didnt stay long either,
-
yes except mine was chocolate and biscuits hahaha, oh well, im hoping for something this friday, if its half of my gain ill be happy
-
thank you everyone, this is great to hear that people have experienced the same, i have been much better this week, im hoping for a nice little surprise on the scales friday
-
so you had full 5 days back on plan and still gained??? well i feel better knowing that 'im not the only person
-
medication was checked a month ago and im fine, i had totm last week, so i dont think its ovul time yet. this was the first week in a long long time i managed to do NO exercise, i was hoping to come back off my weekend and try and get a few sessions in but it never happened. im hoping next friday might give me a better…

Hi Hun, i'm on 150mcg, a day and until my levels evened out i could not lose weight, i found that the pills never made me gain weight. however there there to ensure your thyroid is back to normal, so you can lose weight like any other person, that being said its still a struggle, i think hormones are making you want to eat…

i too go by scooby workshop, i input that i workout 3 times a week for 45 minutes each i set 25% fat loss, and it gives me that many calories to eat each day, therefore i do not eat any calories from exercise as my total already incorporates it, i find this best for me, as its consistent and even across the board and im…

it was too much for me do calorie count and slimming world because they contradict each other - slimming world is a plan in which you dont have to weigh anything apart from your healthy extras where mfp requires you to weigh everything - i got too tired of it, so i left and stayed here, best thing ever
-
did you go onto the right section in IIFYM, as it calculates how many calories you need to eat ( whilst taking into account your exercise, ) theres no need for you to do any calculations, if you go onto accurate calorie calculator on iifym it will work out TDEE then subtract 20% off that to give you your allowance try that…
-
i do body combat 3 times a week, i dont have time to go to the gym so i buy the dvds, to me, this is the best exercise ever, high impact, high calorie burn and so much fun
-
i use TDEE method, - i have a set number of calories per day, and i work out 3 times at least per week, i do not eat any back as the TDEE methods incorporates exercise into my daily limit
-
took me nearly a year to get my dosage right, once my levels were optimal for me, then did i see the benefits, tiredness has gone, and im still working on the weight loss.
-
that muscle definatley weighs more than fat - thats why youve gained this week, uuurrrggghhh
-
i use the TDEE method now, as long as im consistent ( definitely 3 times a week body combat for now) then my exercise cals are incorporated into my allowance. im on 1600 and i eat no calories back
-
im on 1600 TDEE method - which means any exercise i do ( at least 3 times a week body combat) is already incorporated into my allowance - you can add me if you like
-
you can also add me if you like im also on orlistat
-
yes, some go by anaerobic zones, however my h7 normally says at 170 im working to hard. 140-160 is nice fat loss burning
-
this i agree with, i left MFP to try slimming world as it worked for me before ( at 20 stone so why not again? well i didnt lose 1 bit on it, turns out that with a under active thyroid, i couldnt eat "free" foods freely. everything had to be monitored. so i came back to mfp, 2 weeks in and 9 pounds lighter. boom. calories…
-
my current levels are stabilized at 0.13 TSH. this for me ( so far) has been the golden number. lost 9lbs in 2 weeks ( 7lbs of that was water from Christmas) nevertheless its coming off after about a whole year of gains and little losses. you need to work with your dr and learn about your condition and where you feel…

You will get the side effects at first whilst it deals with what's already inside your body. Once it flushes a bit of that out and you keep low fat you should be fine
-
add me too hun i need to lose well over 30lbs
-
any burn i get from my HR monitor, i go to shape sense and deduct any background calories ( those cals that you would burn still if your lying on the sofa) then i put whats left in the log
-
thanks everyone!
-
ium too hypothyridism, ive just had my bloods re done this morning. i too dont have any special diet other than eating sensibly and within calories.
-
i gained 10lbs in 2.5 weeks, stopped counting a week before christmas. im back on it, now, work trousers are tight but i know if im 100% it will come off
-
i have sever anxiety about stepping onto them scales so much so that Friday mornings i use to shake uncontrollably. this was at home by myself! so now ive saved myself a bit of torture and opted for once every 2 weeks
