I've never heard of this - what are you substituting in the cake mix for the diet sodas? In other words what is the recipe? Thanks - I am still rather new at this - and sugar is my biggest problem. Thanks for any help you can give.

fruit is a good bet in this case (ie an apple is 80 cal) yogurt 80-110, strawberries 4 large 23 cal. 1 oz low fat cheese 88 cal. Hope these suggestions help.

Try not to look at this as a diet but a lifestyle change - just start recording and walking some - see where you are at. My favorite bar - taste good/chewy/moist is Quaker Chewy-Fiber&Omega Bars (Peanut Butter is my favorite but Dark Choc Chunk is great too). They have 160 cals, 34 carbs, 2 fat, 4 prot, 10 g fiber. That is so cool. I find that I try to even sqeeze in a 5 min walk here and there helps. I walk on my lunch 1/2 for 15 min-20 min. Whatever I can get above that is gravy. :happy:

I buy the single serving "green giant" vegatables the ones that run about $1.30-$1.10. They are label like "Healthy Weight" or "Immunity Blend". I didn't pledge - wish I had - but I am just getting started. Maybe we could just do it on our own right now. I pledge to loose 5 pounds in the next month (my goal is a pound a week) and then I will take 5 pounds of food to the local pantry. What do you all think about doing this too?

I had just started on this website yesterday. I love it already. Its free and yet it allows us to track everything very easily (no counting points for me). Also, it allows us to talk to each other, support each other. I pray for you to have great success - you will - you have already started on the right path.

I totally understant. It is good to hear that the tracking really helps. I am the biggest I have ever been in my life and I feel I can't talk to anyone. I am just trying to eat better (lifetime changes) and exercise. It was nice to hear your success story.
