This is the best tasting brand I've found yet. Drinking a protein shake won't make you bulk up, don't worry about that. All you need to do to include a protein shake with your weight loss goals is to make sure it fits within your calorie range. Easy peasy.

LOL. Commendable, for sure! Happy birthday, Amy!

Aw, I'm sorry people are attacking you. I commend you for eating well during your pregnancy and managing your weight gain. Your people seem to have forgotten that pre-pregnancy you are quite petite AND very active. Just because you're expecting doesn't mean you need to give that up. So far you've put on 19 pounds - and…

Hey ladies! Don't worry, I didn't have a rockstar weekend either, haha! I did fine Saturday, just my normal routine. But yesterday I did indulge. I didn't drink though, just didn't feel like it. So that saved me a lot of calories and probably extra snacking. I did enjoy chips and dips and brownies among my more friendly…

Congratulations, you look great! Good luck with your goals for the year :)

Hey everyone! I got a food scale and I'm totally fascinated with weighing everything now, haha! And I'm not all that shocked to find out that all this time I've probably been eating closer to maintenance with my sketchy estimations. The GOOD news is that I was going down in pounds/size just a little even then - and less…

I have to take a bite of my sandwich the *second* I get done making it.

Meh. Creepers make it interesting! Doesn't happen to me too often though. I always wonder who are these people and why aren't they bothering ME?! THEN maybe I can write a whole new thread about it and join the masses.

Morning! Thanks for the feedback on calorie levels, ladies. I currently have mine set at 1500 - with a moderately active lifestyle. That *should* set me at around a .5 lb loss per week. I've been hitting the goal pretty much right on (I think I was over by 20 cals average one week, and under by about that much for the past…

ACK! I just wrote up a big post where I said hello to everyone individually and it was all lost to the ether when I hit "post reply" - I hate that! Haha! I'll try again... Beeps - You're doing so awesome since you've been back from vacation, go you! Amy - I love Catfish, I even have my hubby watching with me. Good…

I have a lot of respect for a man that cares enough about himself to take care of his body. I take care of mine.

Separate in this household, not for any reason in particular. Works fine for us.

I think it tends to go hand in hand with the assumption that smaller people can "eat whatever they want" and still look great. It just seems like many people don't realize that dieting or trying to lose weight is NOT the only reason to watch what you eat.

I find it best to not discuss my personal fitness goals with people that aren't like minded. That's why this group is so great, haha.
-
Hey everyone! I've been trying to keep up on reading here; haven't had much time to post! Sounds like you're having a great time Beeps! I know what you mean - when I'm on vacation at some point I always want to get home just to eat my regular food again, haha! I've been working on my leg/hip flexibility a lot, following…

I love to be called: Love. I hate to be called: Baby.

I think your figure is lovely and you don't *need* implants to look balanced. Some others have mentioned this too - your age plays a role here. I didn't fill out until I was mid-twenties either. It's something to think about and maybe wait on for a few years at least.
-
Also, instead of trying to count all the calories you burn, you could probably consider yourself light-moderately active - which would up your TDEE quite a bit.
-
I ran your numbers and I think your TDEE is correct - but your BMR is 1350-ish. I would suggest working with a smaller calorie deficit for your goal. It's tough when you're already fairly small and don't have much of a range to work with. I have the same challenge. You don't want to be eating under your BMR though!

Too late for me! I got it, but I'm on the mend now.

If you need to order a dress, you should start shopping now. It takes months to get a wedding dress; 5-6 months is a pretty normal wait for one. If you plan to buy one off the rack, allow a month or so for alterations, keeping in mind that May is probably a pretty busy time for a seamstress working on wedding dresses.…
