Don't you dare!!

I look where I'm at on calories for the day. No donut is worth having to eat a 250 calorie dinner.
-
I have been wondering the same thing! I've only been at it for a month, but I've stalled out on squats around 80% of my body weight and I am pretty sure I can see the deadlift plateau at exactly body weight from here...
-
Both of these things scare the crap out of me on the OP's behalf.
-
 That is a bummer. But... it makes me feel better? Because I was really beating myself up that I'm not ripping of 110lb squats like I "should" be by now.

You can't fix this. If he's done things to lose your trust and isn't actively trying to earn it back and tries to control who you talk to, there is nothing you can do to fix this. The sooner you learn that, honey, the better your life is going to be.

Yes, but slowly. I think I was at 50lbs at the time of the post, squatted through it and have felt great ever since. I've had a couple of hiccups where I had to stay at the same weight for a few days to correct form before I could move up. I did 80lbs the last two times, and might go up to 85 tonight if I feel confident…

It entertained me so much I sat down to watch some Netflix and forgot to turn the TV on!!

Why does this dude get to tell you what gym to sign up for? He sounds like a controlling *kitten*.

This is awesome! And when I forget to pack lunch, TB is my go-to for fast food that fits my macros!

Oh sweet baby cheesus. I'm having flashbacks to the squat thread I had the misfortune of starting...

Steroids is cheating "in a way." Kind of like getting a beej in the backroom from a girl at the gym is cheating "in a way..."

I straight up have no idea  He lives 7,000 miles away, so he just does his thing and I do mine, and we trade notes when we get a chance to talk. Thanks for the tip on ICF. Stronglifts is working great for me right now, but by the time DH is back home I'll probably be ready to add some additional work in, and that…

But for real... is it even worth the stress? If you spend all your time with that sick feeling in your stomach because you're pretty sure he's up to no good, worrying about where he's at and what he's doing... is that how you want to live? Because I've been there, and it is a terrible way to go through life. I think if you…

There aren't really many options for lower calorie oils, but if you can't afford the calories, maybe go with a half tablespoon of oil and add a bit more balsamic, or fruit juice, or something. I've actually gotten to the point where I just throw balsamic or red wine vinegar on my salads and skip the oil altogether (more…

For me, I just focus on getting adequate protein and fiber. The stuff that makes my protein palatable and delicious pretty much covers my fat and carb requirements. At the end of the day, I take a look at my macros and pick an after-dinner snack that best aligns with my goal.

+1 OP, I started doing Stronglifts a month ago (exactly today, in fact) and I am loving it. It's so simple and straightforward and takes a lot of the guesswork out of how much weight to add. My husband is a long time lifter, and he switched to 5x5 while he was home so we could work out together - he liked it so much he…

OP, please stop doing this to yourself. This dude has already broken your trust, and you know if you ask him about it, he'll lie to you. You deserve better than that.

So much this! For the most part, the guys don't even notice my existence. Occasionally, a guy I haven't seen before will watch me, but once he realizes I know what I'm doing, he gets bored. It's actually the handful of other women who stare at me, but I'm the only girl I see doing barbell work, so maybe that's why.

Look, if you think something is wrong to the point where you're asking a bunch of internet strangers whether something seems wrong, there's probably something wrong. Either way, it's obvious that you don't trust him, either because he is not worthy of your trust or because you're not in a space mentally where you're able…

Is this that common core math I keep hearing about?

Oh, I'd like to join! I'm just a casual cyclist on a heavy mountain bike, but I'm trying to increase my mileage as my schedule permits! I'm in for 60 miles this month.

I've eaten both dog kibble and dog treats on a dare. Nothing to write home about, but if I was in danger of starving...

So happy to see a thread on this that's started/moderated by a source I trust! I'm lifting at a small deficit right now trying to drop a few BF%, but will be switching to recomp here shortly.

5 x 5 is awesome for that. You're either doing Squats, Overhead Press, Deadlift or you're doing Squats, Bench Press, Barbell rows. Three lifts a day, that's it. I just noticed we're practically neighbors. Not sure where you go to the gym, but if they have a per-visit rate for visitors, I'd be happy to come lift with you a…

Just go and do it. If you walk in there acting like you belong there, nobody will question you. They might watch you. Ignore it. Once they realize you know what you're doing, you'll be boring and they won't watch you anymore. Could you hire a trainer for a session or two to refresh your memory on form? I wouldn't assume…

When I was in high school, I used to like the peaches and plums, they were kind of like applesauce but with a different flavor. They were good to keep in my locker for a snack when activities ran late.

I usually stretch or dance, depending on what music the gym is playing that day.

It's the last one in this article http://www.runnersworld.com/running-tips/custom-tie-your-running-shoes?page=single I have to do this for my left shoe or I get incredibly bad heel blisters.
