I followed the group for about a year before I started following their plan but not to a T though. Their plan is to do 4-5 shakes (or one of their other protein products like broth or bars or pancakes) and then 1 protein dense meat (3-4 oz) and veggies a day staying below 55 carbs a day and no other snacks throughout the…

I started doing a liquid protein shakes only diet Monday like what you do right after surgery. I'm down 8 lbs, not craving carbs, and hoping it'll help me 'feel' full after small portions again

Eek, while rejection hurts, if it's due to something as petty as 'not being able to handle' loose skin, you definitely dodged a bullet.

http://www.bariatriceating.com/2016/01/2016-back-track-aboard-leaving/ I had rny in may 2012, lost 135 lbs from 290 to my goal of 165 and gain back 65 lbs in the last 2 years! I'm not using the BOT inspire products, but I'm 'resetting' my pouch by doing 5 days of almost all liquids (protein shakes, fast free greek yogurt…

So I've missed a lot of the discussion in here, but I've just started getting back into the swing of things (I'll be 5 years post op in May). I have had a couple interesting dates during these 5 years, and I had a lot of questions in my head about when to talk about my surgery and whatnot. Thankfully, most of the guys I've…

I really like Chike Coffee flavored protein powder. It's 130 cals, 20g of protein, and contains 2 shots of espresso. I add it to unsweetened almond milk with some ice in the morning and am in heaven. Since I drink SO MUCH coffee throughout the day though, I also make non-protein iced coffees using 3 or 4 shots of espresso,…

My Wednesday diary was finished at 1200 calories and 129 g protein, so it's definitely not impossible. I also do not do protein shakes per se. Every morning I do make 4 shots of espresso and add a Big Train Fit Frappe Espresso flavored scoop of protein powder in which adds 70 calories, 10 g of protein, and 0 sugars. As I…

I know I'm late, but I just started getting back on track this week. I'm 3.5 years post op, I originally went from 290 to 160 (my goal weight). I'm up 50 lbs back to 210. My goals for the next 3 weeks are as follows: No more snacking on office snacks At least 8 glasses of water a day At least 60 g of protein a day No…

Before I could stomach solids, I ate a lot of shakes. I experimented a lot with different kinds. One of my favorite ways of getting in protein without having that protein taste was with fat free plain Greek Yogurt shakes made with fresh fruit and something else (usually a choice between 15 calorie lemonade, a sugar free…

I've been doing a liquid diet to get back on track the past few days. My diet is again made up of greek yogurt, protein shakes, sugar free pudding and jellos, and sugar free applesauce if I absolutely NEED something to sort of munch on (though I'm not sure you are allowed that right now)

My best friend at this stage was Greek Yogurt. I bought plain, fat free Greek yogurt and blended it up with diet juices (like 15 calorie lemonade/cherry limeade) and/or sugar free popsicles and things like that. It was yummy. Also, I was having a hard time not having my yummy coffee drinks. I found Nectar Cappuccino…

After just 2 days of this liquid diet and doing nothing but sitting on my butt studying for finals, I'm down 5 lbs already. I am CERTAIN it is all just water weight, but you have to start somewhere, right? It was a little difficult going to campus today and seeing *and SMELLING* all the free food (mostly pizza and donuts)…

I've been fine all day. It hasn't really been very difficult for me to stay focused on just having liquids yet... I don't guess 2 days is enough time for it to really get boring though. I feel like my headaches subsided later into the evening though, so maybe I won't have any tomorrow. My one concern is with all these…

I also think it's a little difficult because, being a student, I don't have much of a regular schedule. Sure I have certain hours I'm in class, but being an upperclassman, almost all of my courses are group project based courses, so I'm almost always spending random hours with other students or getting called in for…

Just gaining this 20 lbs is extremely upsetting for me, so to even think about gaining more would really kill me. The hard part for me is still just GOING to the gym. My gym is on campus where I live about 2 miles away. So I either have to walk to the gym which would be a welcome warmup (it's the walking back after my…

I just had to take a tylenol as well! I'm doing great. Yesterday I had coffee protein shakes as well as a greek yogurt and sugar free popsicle smoothie. I bought a bunch of soups. I didn't realize how high in sugar (though natural) tomato soup was though. Today I have had a protein shake, some tomato soup, a sugar free…

Thank you for replying. I guess overall, I just have to find something to stick to because it looks like it will be a long while before I simply enjoy doing it. I don't hate the gym. Once I'm there, I usually like to push myself to stay longer. It's the pushing myself to go in the first place that I have trouble with. I…

Took a break over the weekend, so I just did day 4 of level 1! Trying to make sure I don't get burned out right away. Muscles were very happy to take a little break so I could give my all again tonight! Feeling good!

I am IN LOVE with the chocolate chip cookie dough... If you stick it in the microwave for just a few seconds, it's honestly the closest thing I've come to feeling like I'm eating legit cookie dough... the texture and all. Even has little choc chips in it. Even my non-wls friend is always trying to snag them from me. The…

Thank you! These are BY FAR my favorite protein bars. I just ordered 3 boxes!

Feel free to join me! I could use someone to complain alongside! Finished day3 of level 1 today... ugh are my muscles sore. I feel like such a weakling. I am using 5lb weights and they get to be sow hard to lift now :p

Hey girl, I'm almost 2 years post op, but I had already fallen off the band wagon... I'm just glad I realized sooner rather than later. About a year ago, I had popped down to my goal of being 160lbs and even popped below that a couple lbs every now and then, but slowly got out of going to the gym and letting old habits…

Thank you! I need the motivation to keep going!! Today was only day 2 of level 1 and my muscles are screaming at me... I bought some 5lbs dumbbells to use with the workout like she says to, but man do I hurt. Pushing through!! I can do it!

In case anyone is interested, I just finished day 1 of level 1 of the 30 day shred. It was a lot easier than I expected, but then again, I only just started. I'm sure I'll be sorer as the days progress. I feel certain I can do this in conjunction with my regular 3 times a week cardio, so we shall see. Feeling pretty good…

so I actually hadn't weighed myself today and just assumed I was 170 as I tend to jump around between 168 and 172. But I just weighed myself with the result being 167.4 for today. I didn't want to weigh myself next week and think I'd lost a whole 2.6 lbs more than I really have. This is of course hoping that I don't just…

Ok so I haven't done one of these in a while and I only recently started getting back into the swing of things. CW: 170 GW: 160 I don't want to try to overdo it and get discouraged, so this is where I'm looking right now! Good luck everyone!

I had surgery abroad and didn't weigh myself until I got back home 2 weeks after surgery. I had honestly expected some crazy difference but had only lost like 5 lbs and stalled for about 2 weeks.
