OOPS I had already done W8D1 last week. Attempted and completed W8D2 this morning. I only slowed for water three times this run- once after 8 minutes, then after 15, then 20. Still not like I would like but progress nonetheless.

DMG- so glad to see you back! I've missed you! I have been chugging and struggling through. I haven't ran since Thursday because I did yogaflex Friday morning and took the weekend off. I could not drag my butt out of bed at 5 this morning to run and definitely regretted it all day. All day I kept thinking how much harder…

Did W7D3 today and really struggled. I definitely slowed down to 4.0mph several times to get water. Maybe it was just harder b/c I didn't work out over the weekend, but even so it was Friday when I ran my last hour. I am still doing an hour- I do the C25K then walk/run intervals the rest of the hour.
-
W7D1- had a rough time with the 25 minutes b/c my stomach was bothering me. I woke up with a stomach ache but decided to attempt my run anyway. I managed to run/jog/walk for an hour but had to keep getting off the treadmill. TMI- sorry!! I am going to attempt it again tomorrow with less stopping.
-
W6D3 done! I did slow down a few times to drink water and to retie my shoes. I am not sure if I'll ever be able to do it without stopping or pausing. I am just pleased that I have come as far as I have. I couldn't even run for 5 minutes let alone even close to 20 minutes.

a****eru- it is either an APP for the droid, iPhone, or iTouch, or you can get it as a podcast. Some people use it running outdoors. Personally I use it on the treadmill.

W6D2 done this morning. I got through the first 10 minutes of running with no problem. The second interval I had to stop in the middle and chug my water. My face was on fire, and I was sweating like crazy. I don't think I will attempt the 25 jog next time. Think I will have to stay at W6D2 again. WTG DMG- glad to see you…

Finished W6D1 today. I was finally able to make it through the run intervals without stopping AT ALL. I did the 5 mins, 8 mins, and 5 mins without slowing down to a walk. I was very impressed with myself! Now if only I can make it 20+ minutes without walking! DMG- you can do it!!!! I don't have suggestions because I am not…

I got over my anxiety and attempted W5D3 this morning. I was actually able to do it (with three stops for water). I had to slow my speed down to 5.0-5.5 in order to complete it. I was very proud of myself though for being able to get through it. The rest of my hour on the treadmill was spent doing walk/jog intervals.
-
Attempted W5D2 for the umpteenth time and actually finished it. I stopped for water half way through the first 8 minutes but did NOT stop during the second 8 minutes. Funny thing is I thought it was 3 8 minute runs. Thank goodness it wasn't. I did a total of 4.3 miles in my 45 minutes on the treadmill. After doing my 31…

I have definitely temporarily at least quit the C25K. I just couldn't get past Week 5 Day 2. I haven't quit for good; actually I'd like to start the program where I left off. I have been running/walking intervals on the treadmill. It alternates from 3.0 to 6.5 to 4.0 up to 8.5. I have no problem doing that and actually…

I am back.... well sort of. I definitely haven't made it to the gym at ALL this week. I am officially back in the classroom teaching, and it's been a rough week. I have 29 fourth graders in a trailer~ I am at a new school and a new grade, and it is killing me. I hope to get back to the gym sometime this weekend and…

UGH!!!! I attempted Week 5 Day 2 again today and still couldn't do it!!! I just cannot run for 8 minutes straight. I don't know how I'll be able to do 20! Any advice? I am getting frustrated. The am I going to die doesn't work with me! I feel like I'll never be able to finish 8 minutes~ let alone 20 minutes!! DMG- good for…

I attempted to W5D2 today. It was a LOT harder than yesterday's 5 minute runs. It may have been that it was early in the morning, my first day back at school, and I was running late. I had to stop in between each run for a few seconds to drink my water. I will not be moving on to D3 yet.
-
After a much needed two weeks off due my back, I hit the gym yesterday for the first time. I backed up to Week 5 Day 1 and was able to do it with no problem. I kept my speed a little slower than normal~ started at 5.5 for first three minutes and up to 6-6.5 for last two minutes of each run. I felt great when I was done and…

DMG you have officially passed me now! I took a week and a half off because of the bone marrow biopsy, so will probably go back to week 4. I guess I could try W5D1 just to see if I can still do it, but I'm not so sure. I plan on getting back to the gym/exercise for the first time tomorrow after my daughter goes back to her…

I'm still here just taking a break from shredding. I had to have a bone marrow aspiration and biopsy on Monday morning, and I am still not up to par. I haven't been able to do any exercise since it still is uncomfortable to walk. I think Jillian would kill me right now :-(
-
Still not able to get back into the program due to the bone marrow biopsy and aspiration. No fun! My appt was Monday, and I still am unable to walk comfortably. Not sure when I'll be able to get back into it. Might have to back up a day to Week 5 Day 1.

I attempted and almost completed Week 5 Day 2 today. I did pause in the middle of both 8 minutes runs for about 5 seconds to get some water. 8 mins seems like so MUCH longer than 5 minutes!!! I think I am going to have take a few days off. I have to go have a bone marrow biopsy/aspiration tomorrow morning. Not looking…

DMG- Because of your pep talk, I attempted (and completed) W5D1. I will probably repeat it again because I can't wrap my brain around running for 8 minutes straight. I just get so bored during my runs. I read my magazine on the walk portions. For my 5 minute runs, I'd start out at 5.5mph and work up to 6.5.
-
I was logging it as circuit training before I got my HRM. The calories were pretty similar.
-
I didn't look at it like that DMG. I could probably do 3 5 minute jogs, but don't think I'm ready for 8 minutes yet. I will try it tomorrow morning. Think I am going to head to the gym in a little bit and do the elliptical.
-
Did W4D3 again today. I am just not ready to move on to all 5 minute jogs. I left my heart rate on until my heart rate came back down below 100 and ended up burning 495 calories for my 45 minute run/walk. I did the 28 minutes for C25K and then alternated walking and running for the last 15 minutes.
-
L2D9 completed! It was a lot harder to do level 2 after taking four days off! I was struggling!! But got through it burned 230 calories. I may stick with L2 a few extra days. I still can't do the V raises at the end without stopping. Those things HURT!
-
Took a few days off because I was at the beach. I am suppose to be moving on to Week 5 today, but may repeat Week 4. I just didn't that good with the 5 minute jogs. I haven't looked to see what Week 5 Day 1 is, but I have a feeling it'd be overwhelming after not running for a few days.
-
L2D8 done this morning! Can't believe I have almost made it through Level 2. It has taken me longer than 30 days too, but oh well!! The highest my heart rate goes with the Shred is 165ish. When I run, it got as high as 188. It was saying I was at 97% of my max heart rate. I think you aren't suppose to go this high. The…

I also finally gave in and purchased a Polar F7. I have only used it for three days, but I LOVE it! It is amazing seeing how much calories I actually burn versus what the website says or what the machine says. My heart definitely gets pumping doing the C25K and during the shred. I have a hard time staying within the fat…
-
I do the Couch 25K three times a week. On my off days, I either do the elliptical for an hour or do the shred. I can't take whole days off.
-
Glad everyone didn't leave! Glad to see you are able to work out even while on vacation. I did Shred L2D7 today and C25K W4D3. Boy do I find it hard to run for 5 minutes straight. Might repeat week 4 again!
-
Skittles- I love your calendar!!! I haven't gotten around to do doing it, but I am repeating days I can't complete entirely. (any day I pause or walk in a run, I am repeating) I just finished W4D3 today and was very proud to see my HRM say I burned quite a bit more calories than the treadmill said. I am scared to move on…
