  • I just ordered the F6, and it came in the mail yesterday. I wore the chest strap around the house for a couple hours just to see how many calories I would burn, and it wasn't uncomfortable. There may be something different out there, but I do like the F6 so far.
  • L2D6 done after another break!! GRRR I need to stop skipping days. Where is everyone else? Did everyone else take a break too? :-)
  • I repeated Week 4 Day 2 today because I had to walk in the middle of one of my 5 minute runs. I was able to complete the full thing today but did start my running speed at 5.5 and then slowly moved up the speed as the 5 minutes progressed. I am still setting the treadmill for a total of 60 minutes. I walk for the first 10,…
  • Kelly- I had read great things about the Polar F6 so that's why I ordered that one. I can't wait to see what it says after my workout. Finished (barely) Week 4 Day 2- although it was the same workout as day 1, I had a much harder time today. I couldn't keep my speed at 6.0 or higher for the runs. I was okay with the 3…
  • I agree with Julie Sue. You would think you would burn more calories because of the change in heart rate. I just bought a heart rate monitor (Polar F6) off ebay, so I will have to see if the calories match.
  • I can't even imagine running for that long of a stretch without a walking break. Level 2 does have some difficult parts especially in the third circuit. There are more modifications for the cardio sections which is nice. I can't do all of the Natalie exercises in level 2. I am liking the couch 2 5K program~ I think it'd be…
  • What is Covert Affairs about? I might have to check it out. I do like her. When I was in college, I worked at the tanning bed and people would come in a lot and say you know who you look like. :-) I guess I am glad they picked someone pretty. Let me know what you think about Week 4. I don't know if I'll be able to do more…
  • I was so happy to survive. Before I started, I didn't think I'd ever be able to do it. I have to come enjoy the "high" I get from completing each session!! I have never been told that before. I have heard Jessica Simpson and Hayden Panettiere which are the two celebs I used for facebook celeb look a like week. :-) I…
  • L2D5 finished this morning and Couch 2 5K week 4 day 1 completed today. I got up and did the shred before work this morning. After teaching summer school, I went to the gym and ran and walked a total of 5.1 miles. Mpos- we have a similar workout going on. Ur a little further in the couch, and slightly ahead in the Shred.
  • Didn't think I would make it, but I am proud to say I survived Week 4 Day 1!!! I started all my runs at 5.5mph and worked up. At one point I even did 9.0mph (even though it was only 10 seconds). I set the treadmill for an hour and put my Couch 2 5K in the middle of the time, so that I burn more calories and get a longer…
  • L2D4 done. I was worried I wouldn't be able to get through it, but I did. I even attempted some of the plyo moves, but felt like my heart was beating so fast I didn't need the extra intensity.
  • Sillyskittles- I think I will do the same thing. If I can't complete a day, I will redo that day. To have to repeat a whole week makes me think it could take forever for me to finish the program. I did Week 3 Day 3 today after taking a three day break due to illness. I just wasn't feeling well the past few days and thought…
  • Taking yet another day off.... I don't know how long I can take without exercising. I feel so tired and so weak that I don't even want to try working out. Hopefully I am not losing progress I've made so far.
  • During the school year, I get up at 5 AM and hit up the gym before work. This summer (when I started the Couch to 5K program) I have been running when I get done teaching summer school everyday which is around noon. I have a snack at 11, and then lunch when I am done running.
  • Had to take a few days off b/c I haven't been feeling well. With all the health issues I've had lately, I can't push myself which is disappointing. I haven't shredded in two days!
  • I definitely have to run to music. I get so bored on the treadmill or elliptical doing nothing. I bring a magazine and read during my walking intervals while maintaining a speed of 3.8-4.0mph. Obviously when I get to the run portion, I can NOT read but it gives me something to look forward to after my running intervals. I…
  • Finished L2D3 today. The V things are killer (in circuit 3). I just can't do them without stopping several times. I feel like you have to be a lot more coordinated for level 2 than for level 1.
  • Went back to Week 3 Day 1 again and was able to get through the 3 minute job maintaining at least a 6.0mph. Progress!!
  • Yeah that is probably the best strategy. When I all out push and try to run 7 mph, I am okay for about a minute but definitely can't make it for the three minutes. I might try week 3 again later this afternoon guess it depends on how the day goes. I went from NEVER being able to run to this program though, so any running…
  • I can always use more buddies on here to keep me motivated. Add me!
  • I am doing it on the treadmill and think I was attempting to go too fast for the running part. I had to go back down to week 2 for another session because I could not jog for three minutes straight without feeling like I was going to pass out.
  • I would like to join this thread too! I downloaded the app and did my first workout July 2. Did Week 3 Day 1 yesterday but backed down to Week 2 Day 3 (for the second time) today. I am using the treadmill, and I think I am doing too high of a speed for the run portion. Any ideas what a good pace would be? So far I have…
  • Mpos- I am also doing the couch 2 5K program. Is yours on the ipod/iphone? I am only on week 3 and it is kicking my butt. Do you do it on a treadmill or outdoors? L2D1 FINISHED! At first I thought L2 was a lot easier and then it got to circuit 3 and I thought I was going to pass out. The strength moves were tough to say…
  • L1D10 DONE!!! It feels great to have gotten through the first level. I'm nervous about moving up, but hope to try it tomorrow morning! Wish me luck!
  • L1D9 DONE!! I'm starting to get nervous about moving to L2 but I want to see results (as Jillian says so many times in the 20 mins) I also use 3 pound weights. I think maybe after going through the thirty days I MIGHT increase the weight, but I guess I'll wait until I actually finish it to see. Trace- good for your for…
  • L1D8 done. I can't believe I've actually made it three days in a row. I definitely slower starting today. I had to take a break half way to get my 4 year old breakfast, but then I went back and finished the rest. It is getting easier.
  • L1D7 finished this morning. I actually went back thru all my exercise and checked to make sure I had the day correct. It does get slightly easier every day. I find that once I get through circuit 1, the rest seems much simpler.
  • L1D6 (I think) completed! I was finally able to get through at least one set of push ups without stopping. I don't know why the push ups are so hard. I can PUSH through everything else except the push ups. Guess my arms are too scrawny and weak right now.
  • L1D5 done. I haven't been able to do the shred every day. I keep waking up late, so I put it off until the next day. My only break was during the push ups. For the life of me, I cannot get through either set of push ups. I am not sure when to move to L2. This was actually day 15 (total over the past four months) at L1. I…
  • Okay L1D4 DONE. I must say it was a lot harder for me doing this at 6am today than other other mornings I have done this. Not sure if it was b/c I was so tired or because of the heat. Either way I sluggishly made it through today's workout. I had woken up almost all the way by circuit 2.
