Something has always rubbed me the wrong way with Jillian. I appreciate her workouts but I don't like her. I saw her on The Doctors once and all the Doctors pretty much disagreed with her (she was saying kids should never ever ever have junk food and parents were being bad parents for letting their kids eat it). Also I…

When did curves = fat? To me curvy was people with Rachel Bilson type bodies. However now people always refer bigger women to having curves.

Pirate Bay? or buy it?

Congrats on the win! Like the others said. It's best to contact the airlines. A friend was just telling me a few weeks ago on his flight back to Melbourne there was a morbidly obese couple who purchased seat on each end of 3 seats, knowing they wouldn't fit next to each other (their arms touched even with the seat between…

Not one of these studies again. Awhile back there was one that said you have a shorter life span if you eat meat and the test was conducted on people who ate X amount a day. Where X was a large amount, more than the average person would eat, and most likely someone who had a unhealthy lifestyle.

I think the argument is that it doesn't make you feel full, and your brain doesn't register that it's food/meal. I.e it's better to eat an orange than drink it because you have to chew it and your brain knows you are eating and to be full. If you feel full after drinking it, I don't see the problem. Personally liquid meals…

I want to try working out mornings but I start work at 7AM (wake up around 6:15AM) so I would have to get up really early, plus I usually shower at night in my parents en suite and I would have to shower after working out and would wake my parents up in the morning if I were to. I ain't going to work stinky.

This happened to me then I realised my fitbit was set to a -500 while MFP was set to -250. You're probably more active than you think, which is why fitbit is giving you more calories even if you haven't exercised. My TDEE is around 1600, and by the end of the day I find my fitbit gets close to this number and sometimes…

I usually burn 300 in a 40 minute workout. The only way I think I can get higher is if I push myself to the point where I feel like passing out.

I've had a few. I've had terrible Chinese food while in Tasmania (Australia), I ordered honey chicken which tasted like the just poured honey of some fried chicken (it's is called honey chicken but there's other stuff in the sauce the makes the honey flavour more subtle), I've had honey chicken that just tasted of soy in…

I love "moves". It maps out where you've been all day. It's a real battery killer though :(

Cross trainers are low impact and good for bad joints if that's a option.

I've been so frustrated with my Polar FT7 as of late, I have to fiddle with it for 10 minutes before I can get it to work (maybe a need a new strap? I've got it the smaller it will go right now). Any who, I also have a fitbit and use to (I say use to because I dropped and lost it at the shops the other day. Completely…

I've always found mine on the bigger size and wanted smaller ones, but now they're striking I'm all "NOOOOOO!".

Have you tried doing something like 30DS that you can do inside (it's only about 20-30mins)? I work full time too and I'm often really tired and don't feel like exercising when I get home but I force myself to. Like others suggested. You're probably not eating enough calories (1200 is too low, I recently upped mine from…

I just don't tell people otherwise their all "you don't need to loose weight". Though they probably figured it out now.

I only eat breakfast when I get hungry in the morning. If I eat right away I find I feel a bit sick afterwards.

I missed the dribbling part (I use my laptop so not the biggest screen). I'm so going to look out for it now

The theory is that you net your TDEE -20%. So it you eat 1850, then burn 300, you eat the 300 back to bring it back to 1850.

Day 19 today. Has anyone noticed the girl (the one who they had to beep out) in Cardio Power spits on the gym floor, it's gross... Hopefully no one stepped in it and slipped :P

I find Green Tea helps sometimes, plus zero calories!

Not sure if taking half home with me will be much if an option still I'll be staying in hotels the whole time. I do it all the time here though, sometimes I even make myself stop half way that way I can have it two meals and make it last  . Do they have 'entree' dishes there? That was my plan since they're usually…

People seem to forget. Anything home cooked > Fast food. You don't NEED to buy the expensive lean beef, etc, regular mince will probably still work out healthier than fast food options. I LOVE my McDonalds (though I haven't probably be in 2-3 months... but I pretty much cook all my meals) but I'm an adult, I choose how…

When it comes down to it, it's up to the person what they want to eat. I'm sure McDonalds has a few low-calorie/healthier options (McDonalds in Australia have been offering healthier option, i.e instead of fries and coke you can get a bottle of water and a salad as sides) however they're just not picking them. Does anyone…

I work at a pasta manufacturer (I get all the pasta I want, why can't it be lower in calories!) and my boss had a pack of these sitting on his desk. He said it was mostly water, so it might not keep you full as long as pasta would?. I read the ingredients, they just didn't sound right :P.

It probably depends on what flavoring they use and how much (sometimes it'll be 1-5% only). For example probably less calories in ice cream that uses real fruit, compared to one that use artificial stuff (liquids, powders). Chocolate is usually higher because it has more sugar I think.

You can be too thin and have muscle. Example: It looks like all she has is skin over muscle and 0 body fat and it's not attractive. .5 of being in a healthy weight range still means you're underweight, especially if you have more muscle since it's denser than fat.

I use to have mine set to 1200 also (my BMR is 1363) but I'm trying to eat more lately (I stopped losing) but I find myself having a hard time because I'm trained myself to eat low calorie meals, I feel like I'm undoing that by having to find stuff to eat for the purpose of getting my calories up. I don't eat all mine back…

I usually prefer to override my fitbit calories for exercise with my HRM results (though when I'm doing running/jumping type things they're often pretty close). Fitbit will only count what it thinks are steps, so it might mist some of your 'moves'. 1200 sounds very low, especially if you have it set to "slightly active". I…

I believe if you put is as 'light active' when you are actually 'sedentary' it will probably give you more calories to eat thinking you burn more than you are. Mine is set to 'sedentary', I sit all day at work at my desk, and the only times I get up is to go to the toilet, kitchen, and then lunch (which I get about 500…
