  • What I don't like about these things is the thing that it's still all about dating these 'geek girls', real or fake. How 'bout we, as women, dressing up for fun? Or we genuinely like those things WITHOUT having the need for approval by males who may or may not like those things? Or how about we just let people call…
  • Demonstrates, teaches, breaks down each movement to the basic components, modifies if necessary. Listens. Actually gives a damn. Holds me accountable.
  • I think you'll be searching for a while. Some people swear by cocoa butter, others by various oils, others by wraps... Personally, I'm just going to embrace mine. They're part of who I am.
  • A racing pigeon that wasn't ours~ He landed, exhausted, in our yard in the UK. We scooped him up in a box which had 'Chips' written on the side, so his nickname became 'Chip'. We tried to release him from our yard, but he came back every night. Tried from a high hill. He came back. Eventually we got into contact with a…
  • My husband signed me up to a weight-loss challenge. I was mad, but I went because I didn't want to disappoint. I did it all for the wrong reasons, but I found my reasons along the way and I have not looked back since.
  • It depends on your goals. My trainer likes to quote another person, who's name escapes me right now, who says that it doesn't matter what the scale or tape or body fat calipers say...if you're not happy with your body in the mirror, then those objects are worthless anyway. They can only tell you your trend. Take regular…
  • Psych is right! There's a breastfeeding option in the food journal. It'll set your daily calories to the minus range to start your day off to make sure you're eating enough. =) There's also a super helpful breastfeeding community here too.
  • There was this pudding cheesecake many years ago in the UK which was Simpsons branded. 'Cheese-diddly-eesecake'. Or something similar. Want.
  • Those things are crack for kids. You can't just have one serving.
  • Now I'm just imagining running the lakes in full Cosplay...
  • She needs to respond with the ways he initiated for each of those attempts. And then give him a performance review.
  • I agreed with you on Frozen, but disagreeing on the Lego Movie. It's awesome. Because...Everything is Awesome~
  • I'd definitely agree in heading to the ER. That cannot feel comfortable.
  • I remember staying up late to catch Bubblegum Crisis! My favorite is Ghost in the Shell. <3
  • Yes. I am definitely skinny fat. My husband gets mad at me when I call myself fat, but in my head, I'll always be the fat girl.
  • Start of June. I'd say I'm an 18-20. I carry it all in my middle. =/ I'd like to be anything below this, honestly. 4 if I must be honest, but very unlikely.
  • If YOUR concern is how much a man thinks of a woman's weight, then you need to start at home. Raise your standards of men. Be who you want to be. Forget the rest.
  • I didn't realize we were dating! I'd at least have brought my bib...
  • In the very beginning I felt a little weak/dizzy in the mornings, especially if I were to exercise straight away. As long as you listen to your body and eat if you need to (I ate an apple one morning and felt guilty because I broke my fast early and then realized how absolutely ridiculous I was being) then it can work very…
  • What about those of us who'll drink juices/smoothies because we actually just like the taste? I don't necessarily do it as a meal replacement, I just like the energy I get after drinking them and actually find them enjoyable. Could I be eating something 'better'? Maybe. But isn't it about what's doing sustainable and right…
  • I'll be doing a half day (morning through to lunch) with the kids and then coming back later just my husband and I. It'll likely be trying whatever takes our fancy, some of the newer foods seem really interesting. =) Always have to go home with a bucket of Sweet Martha's though...
  • There are actually gyms out there like that, but I do echo the sentiment of 'what would you do if you lost the weight and got kicked out'? I'd feel a little bummed out, personally. I work out in a boot camp style gym where I'm around a lot of other people with their own goals. We're all different body sizes and shapes and…
  • I think you'll be best just logging it as the whole bun.
  • 5'3", 125lbs current. Lowest was 119lbs. 32D. Size 6. I'm carrying the majority of my weight in my midsection (stomach, butt, hips...) and I'm aiming for 115lbs.
  • It's usually when a muscle hasn't been worked in a while or you're working it in a different way. If you're doing similar machines/routines each time, you're not going to feel that burn as much. I also like the burn, it makes me feel accomplished. XD
  • You have taken a brave and important first step: Reaching out for help. I would love to be your friend if you're willing to give this a shot. There are people who want to see you live. Remember that.
  • It's very sad how much this can affect you negatively, even when you lose the weight. I had comments like that regularly while living back in England, even from my own family. I still look in the mirror and see a fat girl. It upsets my husband more than it upsets me, because it's like the worst thing we can be is fat?…
  • The myth of myths. Sometimes I feel like the only reason half of these things still perpetuate is because of the people saying how wrong they are. For example, the 'weight-lifting will make you bulky if you're a woman' myth has been dispelled, but people still like to harp on about how wrong it is, and thus it keeps going.
  • I actually really enjoy bulletproof coffee, and I find it gives me more of a boost than regular coffee, but I by no means drink it daily. I also use coconut oil for smoothies when I have them and a small amount of cooking, depends on the food. =)
