  • Nope, never heard of it like that. Unless they're going to send out invites saying 'you're only invited to the reception', assume you're invited to the wedding itself.
  • This. This is what I was going to suggest. As with any routine, to make sure it's truly going to work for you, give yourself some time to test it out. (Any truth to a depletion workout ahead of the cheat too?)
  • I find myself in a game of 'one step forward, two steps back' sometimes. I'll make significant gains/losses and feel great but then get derailed by a holiday or even just battling myself. IT HAPPENS. What you need to try to do is keep your mind in the right place. You deserve to live a happy life and even if that means…
  • I might also note that some people have no idea what their body is capable of. If you've never seen a certain number on a scale before, if you've always been overweight, you just don't KNOW what the final goal weight should be. There's nothing wrong with moving the goal posts as you go.
  • You can't win no matter what you do, honestly. When I put my goal weight, I was told it was unrealistic. I'm reaching that goal because I know I can, but should I not, that falls on me. Let people put their goals at whatever they wish. It doesn't impact you AT all.
  • I've been looking for ways to shift some blame!
  • I bought my own. I worked at a jewelery department. A ring I loved went on sale. I bought it. Voila.
  • I think the same applies for most bakeries. I just consider the quality and taste when weighing up if it's worth the hit in calories. ;)
  • Don't be scared of avocados! They're delicious~ Good coconut oil/olive oil. Occasional butter. Nut...butters? I know you said nuts offend you, but you might find one you like!
  • This. This is where your problem lies. If you are hungry, EAT. Fueling your body is not something to feel guilty about and it does not equal being made fun of. What you eat isn't anything to do with how self-concious you are about your weight, that's all in your head. Your body is telling you that you need to eat more and…
  • I decided I was sick of feeling a certain way and realized I was the only one who could change it.
  • Many things. My mother used to pick on me to make my sister feel better about her (thinner) body. She'd poke my tummy and they'd both laugh. I think it was due to her own feelings about herself, but growing up with that kind of negativity really did a number on my self-esteem.
  • I found I lost weight in my ankles and wrists really quickly into my weight-loss. Kind've bummed me out considering the tummy was the main place I wanted it to go. XD
  • I find that when my kids go to bed, that's when my hunger rears its head. Sometimes I fight it. Brush my teeth, drink water/tea and tell myself I can wait until the morning. Sometimes I give in, have a bowl of oatmeal or some nuts and cheese. Whatever snack I'm hungry for at the time that won't completely derail me from my…
  • Depends on the reasons you want to substitute. Lettuce wraps instead of sandwiches, for example. Peanut butter on celery instead of toast. Etc. I personally just like to indulge in GOOD bread every now and again.
  • I just wanna hug you. Seriously. Firstly, do NOT let people make you feel like you're ever unworthy of love, affection or praise. Do NOT make them the reason you decide to get healthy or lose weight, it's a negative influence that won't help move you forward. But ultimately, do NOT let them ruin a wonderful gesture by…
  • First change your outlook. You don't NEED to lose 7lbs, you want to. There isn't some life or death time limit on this weight loss. If you truly want to lose that weight by the goal deadline you chose, you will find a way. Motivation isn't easy, sadly it isn't sold in a bottle otherwise we'd all be super…
  • It depends on which program you follow. My dentist recently told me she was on the transition from a meal plan with shakes and bars to real eating and she was finding it really difficult. She liked that she'd lost 20lbs on the program, but she forgot how to eat real food. Just something to think about.
  • They'll come around over time, and if you really don't want to eat something, no one is forcing you to eat it. They're not about to shove it in your mouth for you. ;) My husband does similar things. "Oh honey, you're so muscular lately, it's sexy! By the way, I bought Oreos and ice cream..." Sometimes you just have to pick…
  • Me gusta queso.
  • 2 years into my journey and I still battle myself daily. Like you, I also suffer from anxiety and depression...at times. I have found that working out helps me to overcome these feelings quicker and have bouts/attacks less frequently. You are worth the effort you invest in yourself.
  • This ALL the way. <3
  • LIES! WITCHCRAFT! SORCERY! If you've found something that works for you, stick with it. =)
  • They do Zumba on Sunday's at my gym and I've been twice. (St. Louis Park.) I'm the one with no coordination doing my own thing at the back. =B Don't be afraid of not knowing the moves! Everyone starts somewhere. =)
  • Minnesota here. =) Check out the Minnesota group too! Feel free to send me a friend request~
  • I get a little brow sweat but nothing else. I'm kind of sad I'm not a sweater. :< Do we HAVE to look around and judge everyone else for what they're wearing/not wearing? As long as they're working it and being safe and considerate of others at the gym, each to their own.
  • I personally don't hate them. I have at least two members of my friendslist who are coaches and I friended one coach on Facebook. I've found they can be a source of inspiration. I don't, however, buy into the product. I've looked into it and it's just not for me, and they respect that. I think maybe it depends on the type…
  • Shorty here, 5'3". Met my goal weight last year, now just having fun with fitness and seeing what my body does with my training. Weighing in at 126lbs right now and on a new nutrition plan for the next 6 weeks. I'm excited~
  • I did day one before the weather turned to crud again so I'll be picking up again hopefully today. =) /shakes pom-poms for Kat~
