  • When I was pregnant, my husband and I got into a fight about the laundry. He still mocks me for it, but damn it, the laundry needed to be done RIGHT THEN and he didn't understand the urgency and LAUGHED in my face! So of COURSE I was going to cry and it was going to be a thing. After, it was entirely all too funny, but at…
  • In before anyone else? I'm surprised. Well, here goes... 'It's not a diet, it's a lifestyle change'. ;) Honestly, it's easy to eat out if you save up your calories that day for one good meal. There's generally something on every menu which is lower calorie. As for the treats, you can either indulge in moderation or find…
  • It must be nice to be the other woman. ;)
  • Sadly, I see myself in a lot of what you're saying. I find the thing that upsets me the most is that I find something that helps me feel better about myself, but after a while of practicing that method, it doesn't do what it once did and I find myself seeking something else to make me feel validated. I struggle with…
  • I realized I never put my favorite walking spots! I walk regularly around Fort Snelling State Park. I saw a red fox there on my last visit! I also walk Como Lake, Central Park and occasionally Lake Calhoun. Does anyone know of any indoor tracks for walking/running?
  • TOTALLY not healthy... Little smokey sausages, wrapped in bacon, sprinkled with brown sugar. Baked in the oven. They're really good. ._. I served them at a SuperBowl party 2 years ago and they were gone within an hour.
  • SAHM for 5 years! Working on a website project so my husband will eventually be able to work at home and enjoy the children as much as I do. =)
  • I was just complaining to my husband about this. We've been prepping for a yard sale all day, plonked the kids down in front of a movie. I swear, the second that movie is done, suddenly they're hungry, thirsty, have something SO important that they want to tell you...etc etc. I feel like I never really get anything done…
  • You gotta love how judgmental people are about parenting. This is one reason I'm not a member of CafeMom forums or the like, everyone wants to tell you that you're doing it wrong. Is your kid safe? Yep. Is it hurting them? Nope. Does it give you peace of mind? Yep. Will it scar them FOREEEEEEVEEEEER? No. Kudos to all you…
  • I'm an online dating success story, but I didn't use a dating site. I found my husband via a forum dedicated to a webcomic and we developed a friendship. We've been married 7 years now. I think it's nice to have a common interest online. I probably wouldn't recommend what I did, though. I lived in the UK and he lived in…
  • You can bring MC Hammer pants back into fashion.
  • I'm a stay at home mom with problems with getting dressed...I've been trying to make a point to get dressed up every day instead of just wearing sweatpants and a camisole, I find it does wonders for my mood. I think once my daughter finishes breastfeeding, it'll make it so much easier. I think it helps to shop specifically…
  • We live in a little 'city' called Lauderdale. It's basically a tumor on the side of Roseville.
  • That's awesome news. Way to commit to your goals!
  • I wouldn't let it get to you too much. Honestly, you're doing this to better yourself and to hopefully better the lives of others. You will be living proof that what you're teaching WORKS.
  • Yes! Commit to that craving. Enjoy it.
  • I like my bad relationship with food. I've just learned how to keep that relationship to the occasional get together. ;) Sure, my body could be better fueled without the occasional donut, but I can't imagine my life without it. And that's just it; it's MY life and my choice what I put into it. If you don't want to have…
  • Admittedly, I do not eat back my exercise calories. I only regularly work out 3 times per week. Think eating them back will help me not feel so fatigued?
  • My progress hasn't stalled at all, I just feel a little drained and wanted to test to see if eating more might help my mood. I should be happy that my weight-loss is still going strong, but I feel like I'm burning out! I hope you beat your plateau, Red! Yep, 1200 either way. I'll try 0.5lbs and see what happens... EDIT:…
  • A week? PULEEZE. My body has to wait once a month, at the very least 2-3 weeks. I find the anticipation makes it ALL the more rewarding.
  • Voted! I believe if you click 'go back to previous' once you've signed up, it'll take you to the right page.
  • We're going to get a couple of balloons and the kiddo is going to do some sidewalk chalk (he wants to draw lakes...so that means he just wants to make the entire path blue...sigh). I could always dress him up in his Mario outfit and put him to work. He'd totally do it too. XD
  • Whelp, if they're ugly on girls, I'm outta luck! My husband likes to kiss my freckles. =)
  • Busy mom of 2 here, one is almost 5 years and one is 7 months! I'll send you a request! You can do it~
  • I used to use SparkPeople, but I was never really dedicated. I like that they have a variety of things to keep you coming back to the site (daily wheel spins, awards, etc) but it never worked for me. Felt too cluttered and like a popularity contest.
  • Amazing progress! You must feel like a whole new person!
  • I think it would be flattering to be approached, honestly. I wouldn't have a suggestion of HOW because no one ever does! I work in a small gym with only weight equipment available, though. I probably wouldn't get near me when I'm swinging kettlebells...my hands get kind of sweaty...
  • Thank you so much for the link! I know it's not going to be much longer with my daughter co-sleeping (she is teething hard right now, so she likes the comfort...and I like the sleep) but I really want to get these muscles in check anyway!
  • Stick with your current goal and when you reach it, reevaluate after that! I thought 129lbs would be perfect, but I still think I can go lower, so now I'm aiming for 120!
  • Welcome! Feel free to add me for support. =)
