I feel like this is a good companion piece to the original article. http://bretcontreras.com/how-to-attain-a-slender-look-like-jessica-alba-zoe-saldana/

What a fantastic post. Good luck with your recovery, Sophie. :)

That is freaking amazing. What a NSV!!!!!! CONGRATULATIONS!

I don't know how many times I've said that the foam roller is the single best thing I ever purchased. If I could marry it, I would. :D

I breastfed my son for two years. I've been to La Leche League meetings every month for the past 4 years. Two of my sisters have been LLL leaders. I have nursed out in the open, without covers, everywhere from the Thanksgiving table to restaurants to Target. I am as boob-friendly as they come. However, I would not deign to…

wait, I thought Kevin Federline WAS a poor man's kevin federline.

I cook and eat actual meals pretty much all day, every day. (Today being the exception, because I took the kids out to lunch.) I'm pretty sure my diary is open, if you want to take a look.

Just go. Don't question yourself - just go. I started a mommy boot camp when my youngest kid was 10 weeks old. I was SO thankful for his frequent need to nurse, because it meant I had an excuse to take a breather. :D I maybe did 50% of the first class, and stood in the very back row of the class. Within 7 months, I had…

Dang, your sister only weighs 20 pounds?! My 4-year old weighs almost 45!!! :D And yes, she still wants to be carried, too.... along w/ my 25-pound 2 year old. Muscles FTW!

It can surprise you, for sure. Mine is about 3000.

Hah - that was my second choice for what to post!
-
What an incredibly inspiring story. And way to find out what works for YOU! You look amazing!

I love me some philosopher humor.

Hah -- that was ME during my second labor! I was having contractions about 1 minute long and 2 minutes apart or so, but they didn't hurt at all (just like period cramps), so I figured I couldn't be far along. Matt wanted us to get to the hospital asap, and I slow rolled him, and then made him stop for Dunkin' Donuts on the…

During the pushing stage of (unmedicated) labor with my 10 pound son: "I CHANGED MY MIND. I don't want this baby!" So, yep. I hear you. :)
-
Heh. You said "put out." Heh. Heh.

See, and I thought for SURE this thread was about, yanno. One in the (something that rhymes with sink), and one in the (another thing that rhymes with sink).

That I gave birth to a 10 pound, 2 oz baby all naturally. Yep, no drugs, no medical interventions of any kind! I didn't even have any pain until I started to push. :) So much for narrow hips not being "birthing hips!"

At this point (almost a year and a half of logging), I'm pretty good at eyeballing portions, and I also know a lot of calorie info by heart. So if I make an omelet with bell peppers, onions, spinach & mushrooms, I might just enter one of the veggies but over-enter the amount so that the calories match what they would have…

I had one for my daughter (because she is a bolter, and was nearly hit by a car one day as a result). I always thought I would use it, and never did. My son is still young enough that I carry him most everywhere. I was anti-leash until I realized just how easy it is for a kid to dart into traffic - especially for someone…

Yep. My husband is an incorrigible flirt on here, but it's NBD. I encourage him, actually. ;)
-
OH HAI.
-
Because there's a biiiiiig difference between a one year old, an eighteen month old, and an almost-2 year old (and everything in between). After 2, I started going by half-years.

My husband's uncle was like this, too. I was sorely, sorely tempted to tell him "Oh man, we're TOTALLY trying, but we JUST CAN'T FIGURE OUT how to have sex! Like, does the penis have to go all the way in? And it goes in your *kitten*, right? Maybe we could show you what we're doing so you can give us some tips!" But I…

Actually, the best nut butter out there is this. http://ohsheglows.com/2012/04/27/kitchen-sink-nut-butter-cuisinart-food-processor-review/ It's the most perfect creation I have ever, ever known (and I've had Justin's!). Sadly, I have been unable to eat it for almost a year now since my son is allergic to nuts and I'm still…

Wow. It sure got ugly in here all of a sudden.

Dude, how do you think I ended up having two kids?!
