Sleep...can I be addicted to sleeping?! I love it. Darn job and gym get in the way :)

I have empathy for your husband - vacuum cleaners and I don't get along. I ruined 2 in a 6 month period - by vacuuming over the chord. Oops ;) It's just a vacuum cleaner!

At this age - the more you try and keep her away, the more she will want to be with him. This is a time for her to learn and grow as a person and begin to make her own decisions. You can let her know that you have concerns about how she seems to act differently when he's around - but I'd leave it at that. He sounds like a…

I think it depends on where you live and the competition. We belong to the local YMCA because it is a community organization and gives discounted rates to those who can't afford it. I'm okay with spending $82 (for a family) a month, because I know that the organization gives back to my community. It includes two weight…

I bought the premier protein chocolate (pre-made) drink from costco. I think it was 18 for $24. Each drink has 30 grams of protein and 160 calories. I am surprised how much I actually enjoy the drink - tastes very similar to chocolate milk. I only drink them after circuit training or lifting exercises.

All the way - and it continues to increase. We did a 60 minute circuit training class yesterday and then ran together today. One of the best ways we have found to increase communication is through being active and healthy.

Current Job: Child & Family Therapist, Head of Psychology & Counseling Services Dream Job: Similar, but maybe have my own private practice

I guess the question is - what are your goals? A healthy life includes everything in moderation. I NEED sleep - about 8-9 hours a night. (I don't have children - so that makes it easier.) But, I'd say do an exercise video at home for 20 minutes in the morning, instead of going to the gym for the workout. Choosing something…

People have a hard time with change.... Let them know that you are comfortable with where you are at, that you have personal goals and you are working to achieve them.... It's funny, when we work on professional, emotional, cognitive, educational goals - people cheer us on - hold celebrations, etc... It may be the green…

I have months when my breasts hurt more than other months. It doesn't seem to be around a certain TOM either.... Possibly try some other types of breast supports? I changed to non-underwire, more "lock and load" style tops (with built-in bras) and that seems to help with some of the discomfort. If it doesn't go away - I'd…

So, I'm going to give the calcium/protein after workouts a try for the next few weeks and hopefully will see some changes in soreness. Thanks!
-
I do the stretches in class - approximately 5 minutes. I am find after class - and then get sore about 12 hours later....
-
I may try that - doing circuit training 2 times a week - on Saturdays and Wednesdays and see if I can build up some strength/endurance.... I'm also sore after running for 2-3 days... But, nothing hurts me like the circuit training!
-
Yeah, I have very little soreness after spinning - just for a day. It's the circuit training class that hurts for the next 4-5 days....

Look, my hip bones aren't going to shrink! They are a little wider than other people my weight - I'm about 5 foot 2.75 inches and 115 pounds. I'm a little more "pear" shaped than hour-glass. But, these hips bones are staying the same.... If you feel good, eat right and take care of yourself physically, emotionally,…

You can do anything if you put your mind to it. I did my first 5K one year ago today. Since then, I've done 5 races and now have a pace of under a 10 min. mile for over 6 miles. I do not train and only run 1x a month due to knee problems. Start out running a block, then walking a block, and continue to add more running.…

I bring the medium-sized purse with some healthy snacks - dried fruit usually!

Love it!!!!! Too funny. Fortunately it's not always true - I guess I got lucky...... But, still gave me a good laugh!

Five foot three here! I range between a 0 and a 6 pants size. I weigh between 113 and 115 on average.
-
It depends where I shop! I can range from a 0 to a 6!!!! My guess is a 2 or 4 petite is my actual pants size. I am 5 foot 3 and I weigh between 113-115 on average. But, my rear end is round and I have hips - so that plays a part in my pants size!

What about if parents don't feed their children enough? That is definitely reportable to DCFS (here in Ca).

Five foot 2 and 3/4.....I fluctuate between 113 and 116 (highest during my TOM). My goal is to maintain between 110 and 113 pounds. But.....my main goal is to feel good in my body and gain muscle - so if I gain a few pounds of muscle but look more toned then I'm okay with that!

I did the C25K last year and ran my first 5K on Thanksgiving Day. I ran it in a little over 30 minutes. Then in February I ran my second in 29:29 minutes. I also did a 10K run in 1:06 and a 10K hike (12% grade) at a rather slow pace 1:42 I am able to run at about 6mph but I am thinking about adding in some sprints at…

That's great info! I can't believe how much you burned during golf.....my opinion of it as a sport just changed!!!!!! Do you ever do spinning or circuit training? I'd love to hear what you burn during those. Which HRM did you buy?

hmmmm.....as another small person (five foot three and 115 pounds) I understand this! My physical therapist said it was a lack of glute muscles (for me at least). So, I've been doing exercises to strengthen the muscles in my bottom! This is just my experience, but it's worth a try!

You are extremely brave for talking about the challenges you have. I'm sure that there are others going through a similar experience. I definitely have my binging moments, but the purge never comes for me. I'm a therapy intern and would suggest you search for a community counseling center. Lots of times the services are on…

I do Dream Dinners - it's not quite a meal delivery system. You go to the location (if there is one near you) and put your meals together (you choose from a list of meals). They have all the ingredients there and it usually takes me around an hour to put together 36 servings. Then you go home and put them in the freezer.…

Dried fruit is great! Make food fun - ants on a log (celery with peanut butter and raisins). Maybe make homemade smoothies with yogurt. I LOVE Trader Joes Organic Animal Crackers...... You can definitely make those fun. I like to take the animals "swimming" in yogurt or apple sauce.

Unfortunately, you do have to monitor what you do and say at the work place. There is not much we can talk about at work.... And yes, it is frustrating...

About the pain going away when you lose weight - mine did not. I'm around 114 pounds and my injury still hurts. Do you remember the exercises your PT gave you??? I would start by doing those everyday. I also elevate my leg when I'm sitting and I still ice it after workouts. You can also take OTC medicine to help with the…
