  • Squeaky wheel gets the grease!!!!! (I had a similar experience with an HMO.) Continue to call the doctors and try and get in on a "wait list" when someone cancels. There's a good chance that there will be cancellations around the holidays.
  • I would like to see a study that studies mood and exercise compared to mood and caloric restriction in people who are moderately overweight. Basically, three groups of people, all overweight by approx. 20 pounds, would be given inventories on mood (2) prior to the change. Then one group would exercise moderately 5 times…
  • Coffee....hehe We just bought a Keurig coffee maker and my cup of coffee is ready in 1 min! Then off to workout!
  • Common Explanations for my Headaches: - dehydration - hormones - red wine - stress - allergies (mold = sinus pressure) - low caloric intake
  • I went from a 34D to a 32D. I liked losing the inch around more than the cup size, but oh well....
  • Big success! This means that you have the will power and the control. Start with the thought first "I will be okay if I don't have the _____" and then the actions will change with it. YEAH FOR YOU!!!!
  • You are better than any Biggest Loser contestant! AMAZING!!!!!
  • Options: - Stroller Group - Running Stroller - Mall walking (I was at the mall at 10am 2 weeks ago and it was packed with mothers!) - Babysitter swap (find another lady who would like to workout and swap sitting and exercise) - Gym with childcare (more expensive) You can do it! It's hard but you will feel better afterwords.
  • If she's a stray - take her to the vet! I got my kitty off the streets and she had flees!!!!!! It was very easy to treat, but I also had them to check for any other diseases. Lots of love, clean water, food, litter and play time! FYI, mine's a priss - she has an automatic dry cat feeder and running water fountain....but…
  • I'm thinking about doing the Redondo Beach 5K (10K option too) in February. http://www.redondo10k.com/ Best of luck!
  • I do extra exercise so that I can eat a little more food....like the pumpkin pie, etc. Also, you can be a little more in control if you cook some of the food. You can control how much butter goes into a dish or you can make a low-cal pie. Also try drinking a lot of water that day, so that it's not just thirst that's…
  • 2-3 pounds more than my driver's license number...
  • WOW!!!! What a difference! Congratulations!
  • I'm thin - my cat is not!!!! I even have her on an automatic cat feeder; she gets about 1/3 of a cup twice a day. My husband gives her treats at night. She is just big boned and I love her!!!!!
  • I love the gym! I joined the local YMCA because we can walk there and they have tons of classes that are all included. The price is a little high, but it also is a great community resource!
  • Yup, I'm for privacy. No Facebook either. But, you can enjoy a picture of my adorable kitty cat!
  • I'm sorry for your loss. Give yourself time to grieve and then move forward. An unexpected death can also be a motivator - getting healthy and living your life to the best of your ability, everyday counts! Also, exercising should increase your endorphins and improve your mood. Exercise and eating healthy are great steps…
  • YEAH!!! That's a great way to start the weekend! Congratulations on surpassing this milestone!
  • I do a similar class at the YMCA in the evenings. I called it circuit training.... I would love to hear other people's ideas....
  • I gave in today....homemade coffee cake. It's hard to walk by a table of sweets..... Next time I will eat carrots or celery. Something with a crunch often helps my cravings...
  • I think I had a month like that - August! But, then I mentally prepared myself to start going back the the gym. I looked for classes I enjoyed and scheduled them into my life. I get up earlier on Saturday (which I dislike doing) but I find that I get so much more done for the day. You can do it!!!
  • I look for the closest (most similar) recipe on AllRecipes.com and enter that in - so I don't have to add up all the ingredients.
  • My husband is too protective over our new leather couch - so NO EATING while on the couch. When I go to the movies I sneak in fruit leathers and some sort of nut (usually almonds). I have heard that sunflower seeds are great at home because they take more effort to eat, so you eat far fewer. Enjoy your movie night!!!
  • My bad/ugly days are usually when I am upset about something else - bad day at work, argument with my husband, etc. My feelings towards my appearance rarely have to do with my actual appearance! Try meditation or yoga - something to de-stress and focus on the internal aspects!!! About the starring - as people we tend to…
  • Yes, you are correct - it does prevent you from regulating your body temperature. It's often used for people with seizure disorders - and it's also a mood regulator. Please talk to your doctor as blacking out does not sound safe. I also get the headaches after a new and hard workout. It does seem to go away once I've built…
  • YEAH! One milestone closer on the road to HEALTH! Congratulations on all your hard work!

  • Check out a gluten/dairy/wheat free dessert. Whole Foods and Trader Joes sell several items/mixes. Good luck!
  • I spent a year in physical therapy after a knee injury and two surgeries. Just going to physical therapy one time can help give you better exercises and stretches to help with the pain/develop muscle.
  • If you are out in the sun exercising then look for a moisturizer with an SPF of 30. This was recommended by my dermatologist.
