do you have a recipe?

Willpower. It's amazing. Seriously. I'm doing the water thing and it does help with "hunger" pains. I try to double it actually. Yes, I get made fun of at work for going to the bathroom every 20 minutes, but who cares. After those "hunger" pains subside and your stomach is still growling, eat something. That's when you…

I love this post because it's what a lot of people go through during the first couple weeks. Most people do what you do and just give up. You are rare. Congrats on that.

holy cow, hope I look as good as you do when I'm done! Well done!

eeek, I know the feeling. I can't afford a gym membership at the time being. What I would suggest though, if you are intimidated about trying a class, see if you can get a guest pass and drag one of your friends along for the first time. I'd assume that your gym offers some type of tutorial of equipment. Ask about the free…

why not just layer up with clothes and go for a walk/run? I'd do it, but right now, I get off of work at 6ish and it's pitch black outside and don't feel comfortable. If you feel comfortable, go for it.

Very brave of you! Congrats on your loss!

Lately, I have been buying the Campbells 100% natural soups. I try to watch the sodium. I like to aim for under 600. The chicken noodle is pretty good an decent on sodium (a little above 400) for a cup and I pair it with a Cutie (clementine) which are in season right now. I also like chicken or tuna salad on some…

Love me some Ramen noodles. Too bad the sodium is out of control which i'm trying to watch.

Nothing is bad. It's called moderation. Heck with Atkins or anything that has a name and the word diet afterward. You have to ask yourself when looking at those diets, "Am I going to do this for the rest of my life?" The answer should be NO. What I don't understand is why cut out bread, pasta, and rice. Are you ever going…

What's wrong with carbs?! I looked at your diary for the past week and you didn't go over one day. I don't understand?
-
Are you intaking more salt than usual since your increased calories? That could be a reason which is just water weight. I'd also go with the above advice and give it more than 2 weeks.
-
Repeat the week if you feel like you have to or slow down your pace.

If you are dedicated and have some damn amazing willpower, go you. I could never start during the holiday's. I made a new years resolution so many times to start at the beginning of the year. This year, I made the same resolution. I didn't get to it until April which is kinda nice, but now I'm going through the holidays…

Wow! You do look like a new person! Congrats! :) You look great

I had lost exactly 27lbs before someone noticed also. It was an amazing feeling and it was by my boss :)
-
I prefer chocolate. It solves all my problems.

You love carbs, who doesn't?!?! So, eat them! Moderation is key. If you want a freaking danish, eat one. Be sure to watch your macros and don't go over. You can still eat what you want just with better thinking.
-
Also, 120lbs (according to your profile is your goal weight) and your height at 5'10" would put you UNDERweight. At the weight you are currently, you are at a desirable weight. Perhaps, tone up.

I'm wondering if you even know what obesity looks like....quite honestly. You are not obese. Not even close. You seem to have a very crazy image of yourself.
-
Weirdly enough, I've gotten told that I looked "fine" at 210lbs at 5'6" and that I don't need to lose anymore weight. That was from a at least 400lb woman. Then, at that same weight, I got asked if I was done losing weight and I replied NOOO. She preceded to tell me that I didn't need to lose more weight because she fears…

Eat more of what you like. It's that simple. Also, you can do so many other things with protein powder besides making a shake.
-
I'm also with hypothyroid and goiter. I'm completely off any thryoid medication (wouldn't recommend it), but it's not extreme or anything and I feel fine without it. Currently trying to find a new doctor. That's a completely different story. I'm also on 1200 calories a day (my own choice). I've lost 66lbs so far. If I…

Depends on your definition of a "cheat" day. Oh wait, you just said you don't do those. So you go over calories. OR you just can eat a **** load or you don't eat very much during the day. Whatever works for ya! I do them too.
-
I honestly don't worry about it that much. I log my food and then I learn. I always try to stay under fat and sodium. I only track calories, carbs, fat, protein, sodium, and fiber. I don't really care if I go over protein or fiber.
-
Gotta love cheat days.

broccoli. I can't get enough of it.
