I had several: -I was headed towards a size 3x shirt -I was headed towards a size 24 jean -I was headed towards 300lbs -I couldn't walk up a flight of stairs without being completely out of breath -I couldn't walk around the block without feeling winded

I agree. Don't look at it as a diet. If you want to change, you will. You have to get yourself in a completely different mindset. What do you want? Ask yourself that. You have to motivate yourself. I've tried all kinds of diets. They didn't work for me. You have to do what's right for you. I started last April and haven't…

a slice of pizza? really? A cheat meal for me would be a half of a pizza along with some cheese bread. It's usually a day where I don't worry about calories.

When to stop counting calories? NEVER. it's so easy now to have MFP as an app on your phone. You have no reason not to count calories. Granted, some days, I'm like ahh yeah I ate the exact same thing as yesterday so I don't necessarily log it.

uhh yes!! You look AMAZING!

Get some lean ground beef and taco seasoning. Measure out a portion of it, put on top of shredded lettuce, add cheese, salsa, whatever. You can freeze the ground beef too and use it later.

I am 5'4" and thank you!

Nothing fancy. I don't do fad diets. Been there, done that. I decided to do it my way. I do 1200-1400 calories a day. Weekends are sometimes more. I rarely log anymore just because I kinda know what I'm eating. I'm pretty strict on myself, but allow myself a few days off a month. It could be a cheat meal or a whole weekend…

Well, you my dear, just made MY night for those wonderful comments. Your progress is amazing as well. :)

I have thyroid issues and currently not on any medication for it. I am dumbfounded on why doctors say you will have trouble losing weight with thryoid problems. I've lost weight with no problem

Spaghetti with homemade meat sauce

What I don't get is why your diary is mostly quick add calories? You say it's homemade and you can't be bothered with adding EVERY single ingredient. Yeah whatever. Do you know what it's in your Diet Coke hun? You need to be worried about other things.

They will, give it some time. I just had someone finally noticed I lost weight (after 70lbs). Other people have noticed, but this was her first time. The first time someone commented on my loss was my boss and I had lost 17lbs at the time.

My go to response is "thank you, I'm trying". Then you get the people who are like "oh my gosh, you look so great, what are you doing?! " I look at them alittle dumbfounded and say "diet and exercise?"

Special K Cracker chips or my favorite Lay's Light potato chips. No fat. Decent on calories. I think they are 80 calories for an ounce. Also, you could make your own sweet potato chips.

been there! My fell at work...not to my ankles thank God! That was the last day I wore them.

You wanted my opinion so here it goes. You are a great writer. I think a lot of women who are either in recovery or not will relate to this. I think a lot women if not EVERY woman look into the mirror everyday and critique everything about their bodies. I think we (women) all have those days after eating something and we…

The "perfect" man doesn't exist. They all have their flaws same with women. If I just HAD to choose, he has to be: smart funny sarcastic serious spontaneous taller than me semi-romantic have a good job have a car preferably not live with his momma anymore close with his family likes to eat I like tattoos and piercings as…

At 5'7" and 105lbs. You need a doctor, not MFP. You will find more triggers on here.

Sounds amazing! May have to try this!

Potato chips. I love them, why give them up? I like Lay's Light. No fat. I also fit in some pringles in that mix. It's my guilty pleasure along with chocolate. I also love Special K cracker chips, greek yogurt with cinnamon and honey, popcorn, and almost any time of fruit like cantaloupe, oranges, strawberries and bananas.

Sure, make sure to stay under calories and other things such as fat, carbs, or whatever else you may track. I like a big dinner too so I bank some of my calories. I will eat a small breakfast, small lunch, snacks, and have my big dinner. If I ever feel hungry inbetween those times, I eat. Also, on NYE, I had a 16oz steak,…

We aren't allowed to be on our phones at work. It's forbidden and we could get fired on the spot if we are found texting or doing anything with our phones. So yeah, I can go 4 hours without it. On the weekends, I'm on it constantly.

You look amazing!! WTG!

You look great!!

"no, it's not as simple as the way she stated it, but if someone used to eating 5,000 calories " I was probably eating that much.
-
I wasn't being defensive. I was just stating the facts of myself. 5-6 meals is a little ridiculous to ME, but then again I like a big dinner. My mom eat 2-3 meals a day. She eats cookies for "breakfast" around 3pm then has dinner at 7pm and has a snack at 9pm. She loses weight. It's whatever works for you and remaind under…

It has remained consistent. What gives? Am I the odd ball? Nooo.
