Your perfect man

I try not to think about this, because no alive, human man would come close. It is hard, though, since you run into the archetypes in movies, books, TV...

I have some hard and fast rules-- must have a job, must be independent, must be funny and responsible. I'd prefer no kids, but if we are going to play the fantasy game, I would say Michael Bluth (Arrested Development) would be a game changer.

I could probably throw out a physical description but to be honest I end up crushing on all different body types & colors.

As for personality, there's many good traits but what I gravitate towards is:

1) Guys who make me laugh & can bounce off humor with me
2) Guys who have interesting stories (Travel, adventures, funny moments, personal experiences, facts, ideas)
3) Guys who have confidence (Will come talk to me, say what's on his mind, isn't afraid of getting attention from a group of people, goes out & gets what he wants).

Not to say I like a big clown or someone who's the center of attention all the time (Too much gets annoying).

I met him when he was in my town, I was the caterer for his show, incredibly sweet, we loved him and his band, so friendly and chill. They wanted us on stage and security said no because our passes weren't for the stage so Kevin, the fiddler, ran to the bus and got us the friends and family passes and we were up there the whole show. Those boys drink a lot during the concert and they're all so chatty, it was the best gig ever.


I like men who don't cling, who are a bit nerdy, and don't mind that I prefer night running and knitting to going to bars/out.

As for physical stuff, none of the guys I've dated look remotely alike, white with long hair, African with a French-African accent and short hair and built like a god, Jordanian 12yrs my senior with the prettiest eyes in the world. I date people with a good story.

My perfect man... Someone who gets my sick sense of humor and still loves me and is my biggest supporter always... Hmmm... I think I have found him...he is 13 years my junior, funny as ****, and always has my back.... 6yrs and going strong...

I married my perfect man four years ago on the beach in Mexico. He is kind, romantic, funny, considerate, quiet, smart, a great cook, extremely handy, and the love of my life! The day we married was like a fairy tale, but every day since then I wake up with a smile on my face thanking God for sending me this wonderful man! Oh, and when we met, I knew he wasn't my "type", but since my "type" led me to a long and unhappy marriage, I decided to go out of my comfort zone....best decision I ever made!!!

I don't know about perfect, but my husband's flaws suit mine perfectly.

Sensitive (medium, not overly sensitive)
Understanding
A man who is NOT selfish
Loving / Romantic (again, not overly so)
Someone who has the guts to do things others don't/can't
A lover of traveling to foreign countries they've never been before
Someone who helps around the house (kids or no kids) <~ my dad did it and he worked 2 jobs
Someone that knows how to BBQ (& cook)

My man may not be perfect but he is perfect for me! We will be married 10 years on Jan 17th! I love him so much. He is beside me in my profile pic....I LOVE me a man in uniform!
