Almost everyone I know thinks I'm mean, I think that there are some people in this world who can't handle pointed and direct statements...A lot of it has to do with upbringing and natural disposition (nurture/nature).

Try cutting the sugars a bit. I would do meats and veggies and fruits only for a few weeks and them slowly bring in grains...

I like coconut oil. I use in in cooking, baking, and on skin and hair. Its a universal oil.

I do both. I lose weight both ways but I lose weight lowering carbs faster than counting calories.

I love it! Not sure about a thousand calories per session, but I do know that you sweat a lot and you actually feel pretty good after.

I snack on pepperoni, chicken, sardines (must eat in break room not at desk), salmon, eggs, shrimp, cheese, yogurt, etc.t. If you don't eat meat you can do tofu and beans.

People are so busy trying to get it in they don't have time to be worried about what you are doing unless you purposely call attention to yourself (like the annoying buff guys in the back grunting and yelling like they ain't got no sense).

Any casserole-esque dish can be full of veggies....I.e. loaves (meatloaf can be moistened with pureed veggies), shredded cooked carrots can be added to mac & cheese, spaghetti can be fortefied with finely chopped veggies, cheesy rice and broccoli, cooked pasta tossed with garlic and broccli. There are a lot of options.

I say take a year and try and see how much you can lose on your own. If you aren't successful, then go for it. I know there are a lot of risks but you should weigh the risks of the surgery against the risks of remaining large. Write them down if it helps. Pray and stay encouraged. ((hugs))
