Don't really have one. Everything I like makes me feel guilty, but guilt is a motivator, it pushes me to get active. I don't mind having a little treat if it motivates me to go for a walk or hit the gym hard.

I haven't seen these topics that you speak of, and I personally don't "hate" on skinny women. I have lots of skinny friends...haha! (thinking something very un-PC to myself) Anywho, I think that, in this day and age, lots of women are struggling with the idea of self acceptance. We are just coming into a time where…

Drink it straight, no calories from mixers. I drink everything straight with lots of ice...For the most part.

Why do people on here get so offended when differing opinions are voiced? When someone puts themselves out there, then there are going to be people who have varying thoughts about the subject matter. He wasn't being critical or judgemental, or "pushing his choice on others", he was just expressing a different perspective.

A lot of times its mental. You still see yourself as being 100lbs heavier. I had a friend like that. She had lost over 100lbs and was still wearing plus size clothes. I HAD to have an intervention...Cause even though I'm fluffy, I have ALWAYS been fashionable. She realized that she was really more of a 12/14 by the time I…

I admire your candor. It made me want to cry and inspired me all at once. I love when people can be honest about life and still find the beauty in it all. Thank you for sharing.

Just because you are pregnant and in school doesn't mean you have to stay unemployed. I have known women younger, without any support, who have done it. My suggestion, look into section 8 housing and food stamps to cut your living expenses until you are finished with school. And start looking for a part time job that…

Be honest about your own weight struggles. It helps to hear weight loss tips from a person who also struggles. It is nothing like having a person who you know has been skinny all their lives tell you how "easy" it is to eat right and excercise.

This is awesome. Thanks MFP for the search mode. I was making a modified recipe (just off my own, sub this for that, kinda deal). Its nice to see something that someone actually made and can verify!

*singing* Peannnut, Peanut Butter and Jelly! LOL! No, but really, I do peanut butter for protein. You can buy the sugar free, organic, au natural kind. I am a BIG PB fan, so I might be a little biased.

Defensive much? I am not "judging" I am just saying don't come at me with flawed arguments. I have no issue with people deciding to do what they want with their children. If you believe in spanking, spank, if you want to breastfeed until they 40, so be it, if you want to let your child cross dress, way to go. I don't…

The international weaning age is between 4-7 years old because of necessity, not option. Most of the world isn't priviledged to the abundance of food resource that the Western World has. In that, if you have a loaf of bread and a few vegetable to last a week, doesn't it make more sense to feed yourself and breastfeed your…

From what I have seen, it is supplemental. The kids are eating real food and nursing whenever they feel the need which is typically emotionally driven, not hunger driven. Mommy becomes a living binkie.

If he got teeth he ought to be eating a sandwich, not sucking on a boob. Sorry, breastfeeding a CHILD (not an infant or even a toddler) is inappropriate. Even women in nomadic societies only breastfed/breastfeed children that old out of necessity (i.e. there is a drought or food shortage so it makes more sense to give what…

You can coat it in Cornmeal and seasoning and pan fry it in light oil or bake it in foil with a little salt, pepper, lemon and onion and any herbs you might like (I know people who say rosemary or thyme but both of those herbs tend to give me indigestion so I never use them). Thats how I like fish, cooked simply. Good luck!

Hopefully it won't wear off! Keep it up and stay motivated. That is what MFP is here for!

Do you have an addictive/obsessive personality? Some people do and it isn't a "bad" thing per se, as it is likely a contributing factor to your success (referring to life in general). Where you have to be careful is in areas that could be potentially harmful. I don't think being obsessed with working out and dieting is…

Mine are my vacations. I think it is unfair to myself and my vacation to go out of town and not enjoy the local fare. I try and count the calories just so I know how bad it is really, and I know that I do not typically "excercise" when I am out of town (I really don't count walking and tours and stuff).

You were nice, I would have told her to mind her business and then would have proceeded to tell her what she could kiss, how long she could kiss it, and exactly where she could go to wipe her lips off. I don't do people being up in other people business.

Any soup, sauce, or veggie freezes well. I am also big on pre-seasoning and seperating meats so that it is easy to come home, defrost and pop in the oven while walking the dog or taking a shower.

Good Luck and keep at it! I know you can do it!

First, they have to want help, like everyone says. Second, they have to be willing to admit to themselves what the root of the binge is. Most bingers binge because of stress. But it is important to pin point the cause of that stress and address it and come up with better ways of dealing with it. I.e. does the person binge…

It works, but it doesn't stay off if you don't stick to it. He should get his cholesterol checked first, because it can cause cholesterol to raise. As long as his cholesterol is fine, then he should go for it. His energy level is going to be really low for the first couple of weeks (if he is strict about Atkins). if he is…

I log bites and sometimes it helps motivate me because I tend to lean towards the high end of the option, rather than the smaller end. That way I consume less later.

I did this tex mex mix with ground sausage, black beans, corn, tomatoes, peppers, and onion on a tostado. it was pretty good. Made salads for lunch tomorrow and packed my hunni's late night meal. I kept the portions small so my hunni can make a "taco salad". It was pretty good and kept me at my daily calorie goal.

I suggest you seek the assistance of a physician. I went to my general practioner to develop a weight loss plan. Everyone's situation is not going to be the same so I don't believe in taking the blanket advice of non-professionals. Whether your doctor/nutritionist decides to restrict your caloric intake or increase it is…
