Since everyone is different....here is what works for me: Breakfast (6-630am) Morning Snack (930-10am) Lunch (12-1) Afternoon Snack (230-330) Dinner (after 530, before 7) Evening Snack (anytime before bed) Never force yourself to eat. You should however, eat healthy well balanced meals (especially if you are going to be…

I am 31 (closer to 32), I've lost 11 pounds and only need a few more to hit my goal! I just started a full time desk job, and now I am working on a very early (4am-430am) workout routine! I have learned that after work I am not motivated to go to the gym...much easier in the morning, and it wakes me as well :) I never eat…

Two multigrain waffles (eggos)= 170 calories (140 with the low-fat ones) One tablespoon of Lite I can't believe it's not butter= 45 calories One tablespoon of Honey (great value brand) = 60 calories 275 calories!!!! Not much guilt when it's less than 275 calories!

I've been doing this lately....I may do this every other week.

I turn mine off after I stretch :)

I am from Northern Iowa, and yes we do have accents :) It's a cross between Canadian and Chicago. :)

If we "girls who are like 130-140" don't watch our diets and exercise now, then we will end up 75-100 lbs over weight. I don't think this is a fair complaint. You should use this as motivation to want to be 130-140 lbs. Who knows, when you get there, you may end up being one of those girls yourself :) Everyone is different…

I fluctuate every day! It's natural, and an easy way to determine your weight? Weigh yourself at the same time of day (every day, week, or month). I weigh myself everyday in the morning, and I average it at the end of the week and go with that. Also, I don't know about anyone else, but I gain 2-3 pounds with my period! It…

Seriously! I tell people I am doing it because I want to be healthy. They usually don't have much to say after that.

This is a great message board! There is nothing better than re-discovering yourself after all the hard work and discipline! Congrats to everyone! And me? I love that I can comfortably wear clothes and feel good about myself!

I agree with most of the advice on here (sugar and carbs). However, the times of day these are taken in will effect you differently as well. I eat my fruit and such in the middle of the day. I try and eat my carbs in the morning or early afternoon. NO sugars or carbs for this gal before bed! If I have to eat before bed, I…

You're not suppose to like everything that is good for you :)

Progresso Lite Savory Vegetable Soup (the whole can), and sugar-free Boston cream pie jello pudding cup! 180 calories of yumminess!

I take a multivitamin, which helps with iron, and other vitamins. For calcium I drink milk or eat a yogurt. Potassium is a hard one to get, and yet it is one of the most important, especially for woman. I too, just recently, realized how deficient I was in potassium and did some research. Here is a link to a helpful list…

Log it :) eventually, you won't eat it, because you don't want to log it!

Hi! I am 31 and 5'4". I was at 127 pounds in May, and now I am fluctuating between 117-119. I never worked out a day in my life until 3 months ago. I started off slow and I am getting there. Right now, I go to the gym 5-6 days a week (usually 6). I do cardio every other day and strength training on the others. I set daily…

I couldn't agree more. Work it in! Allowing yourself to cheat is doing more harm than good. It's a discipline that is hard to learn, but it does get easier with time. I feel stronger when I don't give in, and I feel better the next day knowing I control this, not my cravings! You can do it!!! Try sugar free pudding (boston…

"What about women that come to the gym in freshly applied makeup? Why, I don't get that one at all." [/quote] I agree! Although, my guess is some may be on a lunch break or coming directly from work or something. However I have seen a few who probably "just applied" before they came in.

I eat 980 a day. To loose a pound a week I cut 500 calories of my BMR a day. I also take my calculated BMR and only use 80% of it as my BMR. If you have to loose weight then you need to cut %20 out of your estimated BMR. I saw that in a documentary not to long ago. So far it has been working for me. As soon as I reach my…

I make my own kick *ss salads! Right now my favorite lunch salad (all prepared from home) is: 1) baby spinach 2) cabbage cole slaw mix (just the veggies, no sauce) 3) green onion 4) Strawberries 5) blueberries 6) kiwi and a fat free dressing (Honey Dijon by Maple Grove Farms of Vermont is tasty!)- they have a good poppy…

I hate the gawkers!!! It's a gym, not a meat market or a competition!

Moderation for all things, not just cheese. I love it too!!!!

No. If they can't follow their own guidelines, why should I? I would want someone to look up to, not someone I don't want to end up looking like. You should be striving towards them or with them, not away from them.

I do cardio every other day, and lift weights every other day. I always warm up on a treadmill to get my heart beat up and then go do weights. If I haven't hit my calorie burned goal, I go back to the treadmill when I am done with weights. Either way, sweating is a good thing at the gym- never a bad!!!!
