Ha! The company I work for - the main business office is in Iowa. I live in Florida. A lot of cars in our company parking lot with Iowa license plates...they stay for a couple of years and move back to Iowa. I assume the Salt Life stickers go with them!

You can do this! Walking is great. Just track everything you eat and that will help you make better nutrition choices. Take photos and measurements and remember it's a lifestyle change, so don't be discouraged if you don't lose for several weeks.

Chipotle recently opened in my area. I had my first grilled chicken burrito bowl. The guacamole was extra, but my goodness...I'm accustomed to getting 3-4 oz side cup of guacamole and I think what I got was a whole avocado! I was not complaining, but I did divide my burrito bowl into 3 servings and counted it as…

probably water weight - make sure you are watching your sodium levels. I used to weigh myself daily and it would drive me crazy. Now I check once a month. Keep up the good work! :)

I was in the same boat last year. My doctor recommended that I increase my protein. After tracking for a few weeks I was averaging 10-15 grams of protein a day (on a good day) My Dr recommended 45-50 grams per day. I found that it really curbed my hunger. Good luck!!

I fell down the stairs approx 2 years ago and ended up in wound care and eventually needed a skin graft due to the deep tissue trauma. I was unable to walk for approx 3-4 months. This was my wake up call to lose weight. Check with your doctor, but I was told to significantly increase my protein, because it helps with the…

Great attitude! We all make choices that we regret later, but don't give up! :)

Check the labels and don't use generic information from this site. Your diary shows 4 oz of deli turkey, but no sodium. Deli sliced turkey can be high in sodium, as the mineral is added for flavoring and to help preserve the meat over time. A 2 ounce serving of deli sliced turkey provides 620 milligrams of sodium, which…

I didn't count calories while on vacation. Tried to eat sensibly (we rented a cabin in the mountains) and stocked up with meats to grill, lots of fruits and veggies and snacks, but we did go out to eat 2-3 times and I indulged with burgers, fudge, chips, etc. I did a lot of walking and hiking while sightseeing. I actually…
