I also have both. I wear my Fitbit on my bra through the day (I don't wear it in bed but you can if you want to get info on your sleep patterns) and wear a Polar HRM during my gym workouts. Fitbit syncs with MFP which is fab and I overwrite the time spent in the gym with my HRM read outs. I was glad to note that my Fitbit…

Brilliant! Thanks for sharing. Im starting my cut on Monday after an 8 week reset - I did VLCD on WW for a few years, went straight to cut but weight stuck for 6 weeks so decided needed the full reset. Im just going to cut by 300 cals from 2500 to 2200 so not very extreme.

Great news, Im so pleased for you. Your story is really motivating and I'll be keeping a close eye on you, lol. I am in week 8 of my reset, starting cut on Monday. I read an article saying that if you have a deficit of more than 300 cals, your metabolism starts to slow down to compensate and you lose muscle as well as fat.…

You sound like you're very active indeed. I think I read on the boards that Fitbit devices arent very good for accurately recording cardio workouts. They are better for normal day to day moving around. I would imagine you burn much more than 1780 cals with all that exercise! G

Good luck to all the newbies and ..... ENJOY! Its so good to be able to eat like a 'normal person', lol! Gill

Im with you :) I also did my TDEE -15% for 6 weeks with no gain/loss on the scale. Thinking that a full reset is required so been eating 2500 since Monday. Not having any trouble as I just love my food, and happy to eat healthily. Im going to stick to TDEE for 8 weeks and then cut back again. So many people doing this, its…

I love strenous workouts but I recognise that rest is just as important. I do Les Mills' Body Attack twice a week and also do 20 mins HIIT at the gym twice a week followed by weight training. I workout every other day to give myself a rest day in between. However, I do walk about two miles Mon-Fri at a brisk pace. I wear a…

So many of these threads recently!

NO!! Thats what we've all been doing wrong here! TDEE is the reset. Eat at TDEE, then cut by 15% after 8 weeks and should start losing then. Have a look at the Scooby Fitness website calorie calculator.

Hello again! Can you help me out please re activity levels ?! I started using MFP after years and years of yo-yo dieting and eating only about 1200/1400 cals on WeightWatchers. I also started about six weeks ago on TDEE -15%. I haven't lost any weight or inches, to my disappointment, I was wondering what changes I could…

I'm in!!! Will post details later

This is really interesting. I started EMTWL about 6 weeks ago and also have been eating around 2000 cals which is my TDEE less 15% cut (using Scooby Fitness calculator). Ive been feeling really good and energised from the extra cals, following years of yo-yo dieting. BUT just really maintaining and not losing as I had…

Just spotted this! Actually, had to leave after 10 mins of Body Combat. Felt fatigued - yes, too much!!!! I wont be considering back to back classes again!

Ive just bought some Impact whey protein cookies n cream from Myprotein.com. Only £14.72 for a kg and lots of flavours to choose from. Its only 83% protein but half the price of most others so you could always just use 40g instead of 25g! G

Great, thanks for that :) Tonight Im doing Body Pump followed by Body Combat, so need to eat about 2500 cals today so that my net doesnt fall below my BMR. Suits me just fine as I love my grub. Tucking into a yummy seed stacked flapjack now :) G

Am I right in thinking that if you're following the Fat2Fit Radio method (which I am) although you shouldnt eat your exercise cals as they are factored into your daily goals cals, if your exercise cals bring you below your BMR, then you should eat food to bring you back up to BMR? I do a lot of exercise - 5/6 intensive…

Hi I usually exercise five times each week, for an hour at a time. I do Body Attack, Body Pump, Body Combat and gym workouts. I around 2000-2100 calories every day to lose (and feeling great!). I definitely think you need to eat a lot more - just remember to eat healthy and clean to make up your calories. Try playing…

I just bought a used Polar monitor on eBay for £40

You look amazing - really fit and healthy. To be honest, you don't look like you need to lose any more weight - look at that toned, flat tum :) Gillian
