True. Although it's easier to relate to someone close to our height to get an "idea" of targets and sizes, genetics plays a huge role. I have the frame of a linebacker: big bones, wide shoulders (not very blest on the chest size though), very narrow hips and a very small butt. I don't think at the same weight I'd be…

I have to agree. When I go to the gym I make it worth my time, so yes, I sweat a lot. It's not pretty (compared to the girl with the done up hair and full makeup in a sports bra), but I like to think that I'm just giving it my all. So when it comes to men at the gym, I don't expect the cover of GQ, the guy that's giving it…

I may switch things around depending on activities/schedule in a given week or if I'm traveling for work, but it tends to look like this: Mon: Chest/triceps + 30min cardio (intervals) Tues: 60min cardio (endurance) Wed: Back/biceps + 30min cardio (intervals) Thur: Rest Fri: Legs/Shoulders Sat: Abs + 30min cardio…

I have the same problem. It's not because I think it's bad for you to eat late at night, but because I just can't sleep well if I eat a hearty meal before going to bed. I've been making changes every day to try to up my calories earlier in the day to be able to better balance the whole "eating late" dilemma. It's a work in…

I think this is true as well. I'm pretty close to my goal weight and my focus now is reducing BF%. Most of the friends I have on here also have about 10lbs to lose and thus we're experiencing similar road blocks or successes.

This is me too. I have a small group of "friends" on here and I keep it that way as I want to make sure I can be present for all of them and offer proper support/motivation (and obviously, this goes both ways) on a regular basis. It's not that I don't want to offer support to anyone else, but I'm thinking quality before…

I just bought the Garmin Forerunner 210. It's pricy, but I picked it due to its GPS capability and its format. I hike a lot so having the device track not only my heart rate (and calories), but my distance, path elevation and then place it on a real map when I upload the data to my computer is kind of cool. I can also use…

This would have been SO helpful when I started a month ago! Would have made the learning curve easier. Every newbie should have this

Creepy! You did the right thing though. I'm more concerned with the gym's Management. I manage a business unit (not in fitness) and if one of our employees took the personal information of a client to make a call of any personal nature (other than "sexual" nature), than it would be a warning, a second and they would be out…

Amazing...found myself tearing up. It's impressive what true determination and true support can do.

Aha! So they do exist! I'll look it up (thank you for the post!). I'll take a sacrifice on taste over having to explain myself at the border!! :) As for the ideas from everyone on the containers: THANK YOU! Those will be great for when I travel for longer trips (when I check in my luggage) or when I travel for business for…

lol... That makes SO MUCH more sense to me now!!! Sorry... ;)

And you have that in your carry on? I guess maybe I'm making a big issue out of nothing, but I'm the girl that got her mascara confiscated because they considered it liquid and it was not in my "liquid bag" and another time, even my "Liquid Paper"....I'm not even kidding. Would protein bars be a better solution? Do they…
-
I do both (more within Canada, but still do US). Good thought about the juice bar, but the problem there is you can't bring liquids in containers of over 50ml (or maybe its 100ml now) through security (again, because I'm using a carry on) AND it must be in its original container... yeah, I have a feeling the protein powder…

I'm sure you are right about the "winkers" being predominately female. And I was not "complaining" about the men that don't write a full sentence, I'm just saying that for me (just me), it's not going to get an answer. Same as the guy who once wrote to me "I'm good looking and you're hot, so babe, I'm sure we'd hit it…

- It's still surprising every day to me that I fit in clothes that I could not have fit in even when I was 15 (I'm now a size 4/6). - Every time I run (well, even the fact I can now run...) and can go faster for longer Recent one: - I weight train with a personal trainer 3 times a week since January. He decides on the…

This is me as well. Not sure if I'd call it staring (maybe a glance?!), but I do, between sets, look at pretty much everyone (men and women). I may be caught actually staring when I'm impressed with what someone is doing or just how good they look (again, this can be a hot guy like it can be "she has great arms...yep, I…

That's fantastic! You have every right to be proud!!! I dd my first 5KM run in October last year (Run for the Cure), but there was no official time and I had to walk a bit too. Did my first 5KM "official race" in March of this year (Race Around the Bay in Hamilton, ON) and since there were official times, then that gave me…

Tks dlwyatt! just sent you an invite. :)

Born on South shore of Montréal, then Ottawa, then Québec, then MTL (NDG), then Ottawa again, then MTL, then North Shore of Montreal and now... Brampton, ON (just N-W of Toronto)

Don't worry about it. After 2 months, and getting either no matches, mostly profiles of men that had "not logged on in over 3 weeks" or guys that clearly had nothing in common with what I had answered in their little eHarmony test, I cancelled my membership (it stays active until the end of your term, but at least it does…

My pics: - 1 face shot - 1 full length shot - 1 or 2 activity shots (these are also usually full length shots - Hiking, Surfing, etc) Men's pics that turn me off: - Shirtless flexing pic (even if they have a great body...it's just not the forum if he says he's looking for a "relationship". Let me have the pleasure of…

POF has an option to block a member (I used it for a stalker), but if I remember, you have to give a reason from a list they offer. Once you do that though, they cannot send you a message or communicate and you can'T see them (I think they don't even see your profile anymore). It's been a while, but I think it appears when…

I'm allergic to cats, so it's a deal breaker for me. However, I do have a creepy (yet funny) "man with cats" story: We met online and decided to meet face to face after a few emails/chats. We decided on going rock climbing (I know, I know, probably not the most intelligent thing to have someone you don't know be…

Well said. I'd add: having someone to be there for you (and you to be there for them) through the good and bad moments life brings. That person that knows your little quirks and loves you for them...

Same here. I own my house, have a company car and benefit from a good income (that I work hard for).... which for many men I'm told is emasculating (and by the way, I'm a jeans and t-shirt kind of girl, so it's not like I flaunt it). Never thought financial independence would be a detriment to getting out of "singlehood".
-
I agree with this 100%. I might get grief for saying this, but I consider winks are similar to the ever so popular short messages like "what's up?". If I'm not even worth the time for the guy to write a full sentence, then he should not bother. Just my opinion.

I'm 33 and my last long-term relationship (2 years) ended in September 2010. It took a while before I started dating again (my dad was fighting 2 cancers at that time, so my priorities changed for a few months) and I have to say that the dates I have been on since have been disappointing. I'm still hopeful I'll find my Mr.…
