1 cup milk of choice and 1/3 cup chia seeds. Make sure you whisk everything vigorously.

You're putting a lot of pressure on yourself, which will naturally lead to depression and ultimately failure in your healthy lifestyle efforts. The key, for me at least, is to not think about it. I've lost nearly 50 pounds, and have over a hundred more to lose, and if I think about it, I'll get discouraged about my…

I just got a Fitbit Charge HR, and so far, I'm in love with it. It's not entirely perfect, but it's pretty close. It syncs with MFP just fine, but you have to be careful to program your exercises into the app or it'll report all activity as steps. I love that it tracks my sleep, although I hate what it has to say about it.…

A movie, and then out for sushi. I'm not hard to please.

I'm always looking for new MFP friends, so add me! Fair warning: I tend to blog and wax poetic in my statuses, but otherwise, I'm a good MFP buddy!

I switched to 71% cacoa bars, and haven't really regretted it. Seriously, chocolate that is mostly unprocessed cacoa is how chocolate was meant to be experienced. Ghiradelli does a really good job with their intense dark chocolate bars. Green and Blacks are probably the best. And the bulk sections at Sprouts and Whole…

If the person is attractive and has a good personality, then I'm generally okay with it. Otherwise, it's a complete waste of my time, and depending on the situation, am capslock pissed off that it even happened. I'm at that point in my weight loss that old men and sleaze bags are taking notice of me. They seem to think,…

So much disrespect and ignorance in this thread.

Slap the doughnut out of your hand. We're in this together.

She eats cake and ice cream all day, everyday.

Many people who think they're "straight shooters" are actually mean in reality and don't know it, or worse, just don't care. They dislike the label and can't deal with the fact that they're not as nice as they would like to think. There is a difference between being honest (it's usually accompanied by compassion and…

I like Vega's Protein and Greens. It has 20 grams of plant-based protein. No dairy at all. It's not the greatest-tasting powder (you won't notice if you blend it into a smoothie), but it gets the job done.

Harley, is that you?

Rap. It just helps me muscle through the tough parts.

When I first started out, it was rough, but now I crave healthy foods during that time. The worst it will make me do is binge on fruit, cheese, dark chocolate, pumpkin seeds, and green smoothies, so nothing terrible. I think working out and eating well have curbed my crazy PMS/PMDD stuff significantly. Still working on the…

I lost weight on it, but I wasn't happy while I was on it, which is why I gained the weight back. It's heavily processed junk in powder form, and isn't nearly as fun as making healthy meals.

I just signed up for Graze, and am currently waiting for my free box to arrive. I doubt that I'll stick with it, because the snacks look like things I can and usually put together myself. Don't get me wrong; I think they offer an awesome service and interesting snacks, but an afternoon spent at Whole Foods or a farmer's…

There are loads of people who work that much and have children to support, so I don't think it has anything to do with responsibility. I also don't think other people should judge what other people do, but maybe that's just me. You do what works for you.

OP, perhaps you missed the self-righteousness in your post? That's what people are responding to, not the article. Not trying to be mean, but this came across as very rude and judgmental.

I hold onto the treadmill because I don't get a great workout at lower inclines and slower speeds. I've continued to lose weight. *kanyeshrug*

I keep my diary private because my food choices are personal. We're all sensitive about different things, and for me, the way I eat (mostly whole, organic foods with the occasional treat or cheat thrown in) is something I'm surprisingly sensitive about. It should go without saying that I don't like how some people on the…

Wear what's comfortable and appropriate for you, and forget about running up against some random busybody's sensitivities. Chances are very, very good that you'll never see the person or people you may offend again, so why does their opinion matter? As long you aren't physically harming anyone, just live your life.

I'll take MFP friends where I can get them! I'm looking to lose over 100 lbs., and have lost thirty since January. Having other people who understand what losing weight really means and how hard it can be would be a big help!

Sunridge Farms' Chunks of Energy. I'm a fan of the chocolate almond chip.

Everyone has done both of these things at some point in their lives, whether they're willing to admit it or not. Does does that mean no nice people exist? Who's to say that she doesn't actually believes what she preaches? She seems completely genuine to me, even though I find her completely disagreeable. She seems to be a…

No, it isn't. She's getting a lot of attention from the Gawker article, so naturally, that's going to be a hot topic for a few days. She talks about much more than that.

I remember watching this and agreeing, although it must be said that some of them are medical doctors. It must also be said that many engineers and scientists seem to have the personality of a dry sponge, so there's that.
