Huffington Post has a couple good ones: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/03/09/hunger-games-food_n_1333008.html#s763653&title=Herbed_Fish_Wrapped The Herbed Fish sounds awesome, as does the Carrot Soup on the slide following the fish. Actually, any of them in the slideshow sound good!

Pork rinds are good. I also like celery or bell pepper sticks or cucumber slices

Don't manually log your cardio into mfp... Just sync your fitbit and let it adjust. If you're manually entering it also, it's counting double basically and that's why your net ends up so low

Hard? Wow! I would think creamed coconut would be..... Creamy lol! I'm going to look into it more since I love coconut in all forms and I hadn't heard of this version until now
-
Coconut manna I think is like the coconut butter since I see it used a lot in coconut truffle recipes, and you're right about the flour: coconut meat ground. Now this creamed coconut stuff sounds WONDERFUL! I feel like I need it in my life but I'm pretty sure I'd eat it all in one sitting. I've always been weird about the…

Iced is definitely NO BUENO...unless you wanna chew on chunks of cold oil/butter. I thought cold would be a good idea too with the heat...but nope. Though I just got a vitamix and I wonder if it would blend the chunks out..hmmmm I like it mornings when I don't have time to make breakfast, or I'm too lazy to eat breakfast,…

I bought some light olive oil specifically for any recipies I have that call for vegetable or canola oils. Its worked great so far in any recipies where I don't want that olive oil taste

I would re-read the section in Primal Blueprint that's specific to weight loss (I have it on e-book so I don't know what page it might in a regular book copy). Mark put a section in the book specially about where you should keep your carbs and cals to lose weight on primal (I don't think he gives specific cal amounts but a…

I went paleo while I did my whole30 and I think I'll be happier having some cheese if I want it than not getting to have it.I'm definitely going to limit my dairy since I do feel better, but you can't separate me from blue cheese for too long without me getting cranky :)

I love love love this one for coconut ginger pork. My husband who was skeptical (and not paleo/primal) and guests I've made it for have raved about it: https://www.marksdailyapple.com/slow-cooked-coconut-ginger-pork/ I'm at my sister's house staying and helping with her newborn and we're eating it tonight and it's making…

Brunch: 2 slices nitrate free bacon, 2 sausages, a slice of proscuitto and 3 slices of copa fried in the bacon fat until crispy, a small avocado (about the size of one of those clementine oranges) and some homemade pickled green beans. So much food but so yummy and kept me full until almost dinner time. Dinner: tuna (ahi…

Its amazing isn't it. I made hubs a loaf of bread (and I mean legit made from scratch..kneaded with my own two former bread loving hands) to take on a trip with him this weekend and did not want to pick a little bit off to taste. That bread was how I feel about making hotdogs....I'll make it for someone but I wouldn't care…

Had a craft day with the bestie. We had snacks and made a big mess. Best day ever :) sweet potato chips fried in coconut oil with guacamole Went to a local sushi place for dinner and I was excited to find that they had riceless rolls! I found riceless roles at a more "upscale" sushi place but I was surprised to find them…

Huge brunch. I was in a meat mood when I woke up this morning... Probably won't be hungry till dinner. Sausage, bacon, prosciutto and copa cooked in the bacon fat until crisp, eggs, a small avocado and some of the pickled green beans I made. I might have a little piece of mango to wash it all down if I can manage lol

I made up the hash recipe as I went :) here's what I did: Microwave a small sweet potato (about 3oz for one person). You can pre bake it in the oven too but I'm impatient When cooked and slightly cooled, dice the potato in small cubes. Meanwhile in a pan over medium, cook diced bacon (I just cut it with my kitchen…

Dinner was sweet potato hash with bacon, onion, green and red bell pepper topped with eggs

My uncle always makes homemade green bean casserole and I KNOW I can make it primal/paleo. He makes his own cream of mushroom soup from scratch, and fries up some super thin julliened onions, so yum! Never liked the stuff until I had his. I figure if I use something else to thicken the soup like arrowroot instead of flour,…

Seriously, I could sit and eat an entire sourdough loaf by myself previously.... Now I don't even want it. As time goes on, it's easier to not even think of grains and rice, etc. Oh, and THIS makes it super easy to get over pizza: http://thefreerangehuman.wordpress.com/2012/03/26/ketogenic-pizza/

Lunch today was mongolian bbq with turkey (wish they gave you more meat but I don't want to pay double haha) Edit: no I didn't have one of those egg rolls... They are super delish but so, so bad. My friend ate both and my rice

I don't find it overly fishy like some might find salmon to be, and I personally like it on the rare side which I think keeps down any strong flavor. The best thing is to find it somewhere that gets it SUPER fresh and then its very mild. Its pricey but you can usually get a small chunk to test out

I love waking up naturally..its the best :) In the home stretch now and I get the weekend alone before having a busy week next week helping my sister with her baby. I should be controlling most of the cooking but I also will have to cook what sis is in the mood for. So we'll see how it goes

Seared ahi salad with homemade dressing of fresh ground wasabi root from the Asian market, olive oil, pomegranate vinegar and coconut aminos. Somewhere under all that fish is thin sliced baby carrot, some diced red and green bell pepper, scallions and super thin sliced radish. Oh and cucumber. SO good!
-
Usual breakfast plus 2 breakfast sausage links Lunch: salad with a huge chunk of seared ahi tuna, homemade dressing of olive oil, coconut aminos, pomegranate vinegar and fresh ground wasabi (seriously, if anyone has a nearby Asian market -- go get fresh wasabi! It's so much better... Especially since the stuff in the tube…

I've grown to ignore the studies and people who say high carbs are great. They can eat as many carbs as they can stuff in their face for all I care. I'll be getting skinnier while they're getting fatter (like the high-carb advocating lady at work who says I'm going to have a heart attack before 30 but continues to put more…

I've got the same thing in little patches in my hands... Not like my whole hand but small patches in different spots. Itchy and annoying. The closest I could find was a type of eczema, and mixing some neosporin and aveno eczema treatment lotion seems to help some, but I'm gonna try mixing hydrocortisone into that mixture…

Usual breakfast Lunch : leftover chicken taco soup Dinner : a big old honkin NY strip steak and the veggie I'm not sure yet but I'm leaning towards cabbage or green beans...both cooked with bacon

Hello! Two words: BATCH COOK. Batch cooking has saved me sooooo many times when I've felt like it'd just be easier to eat an English muffin or something rather than cook. When I get home from the store I chop all my veggies, bag and freeze individual portions of proteins, and then cook 3-4 meals worth of food and…

I'm ready for it to be over! I'd totally kill for a steak salad with chunky blue cheese right about now lol. I'm with you though... I don't know if I've had that life changing moment either. I know I'm going to eat this way.. Well, eat primary.., for the rest of my life because I do feel amazing, but not like climb the…

Usual breakfast Lunch : chicken taco soup: chopped chicken, vegetable broth, can of stewed tomatoes, scallions, red bell pepper, mushrooms, celery, yellow squash and zucchini, and a couple small baby potatoes, lots of cumin and chili powder, some red pepper flakes for spice and some raw chopped cilantro. It was kind of a…
