I was just looking up about this...what I found was that you should have more than 30 lbs to lose to be on a very low calorie diet. And 1200 is the min. where you should be able to get all the required nutrition. Lots of sites said this same thing.

I've been finding quite a few conflicting calculations online but I can tell you that my treadmill says I burn about 450 calories at 3.0-3.5 mph for 40-45 min.

If you like sandwiches for lunch try the Flatout Light flatbreads, they are around 90 cal, 9g fiber, 6 net carbs and really pretty good.

why have you decided to do low carb? that does make it much more difficult to pack lunch! I know it can be done but I'm not choosing that route...so just curious why you personally feel healthy grains won't work for you?
