Weight gain from birth control is common. I personally gained around 15 lbs after starting but I also had terrible menses that I didn't eat much during (due to pain and nausea). It's pretty individualistic, but eat when you are actually hungry and keep measuring everything. For me, my increased appetite sort of smoothed…

I would be miserable personally. 1% milk tastes terrible. Milk doesn't provide a varied enough spread of vitamins and minerals either. Sure, someone could probably live on this (they'd probably get scurvy and god knows what other vitamin deficiency driven diseases though) but unhappily. #1 reason this doesn't work is that…

Feel free to update me on whether it works for you or not.

That's an angry person flipping a table.

I wouldn't call it binging. I call it "I'm crazily hungry for real" and my solution to this is to eat food. Then again, I don't crave sweet foods or chocolate or whatever. I am just really hungry and I need an extra meal to make that go away (today I should have had dinner or 2nd lunch but my stomach had other plans). Any…

You should log your exercise only at Fitbit; remember what time you started and stopped spinning. This will log your activity over your daily data during that time period. Cross-check the calorie amount with your heart rate monitor, if the amount is significantly off, you can extend your logged activity to match your…

Join the club I guess? I have a 28 in+ waist and ~38 in. hips. Junior 7's and 9's are too small and misses 4's are baggy. Everything comes up too high and has over 6" of fabric at the end of each leg. I buy petite/short pants and then have them hemmed. I still have roomy crotch, tight thighs, and gapping waistbands though.…

Two eggs and 2 oz. of beef or turkey sausage/bacon is my go-to breakfast. I also like cream and fruit, protein smoothies (flavored with coffee, banana, or cinnamon), a nutmeal and coconut milk mixture, or leftovers.

Am I understanding this correctly that you are eating 800 calories a day? If I ate that, I would want to quit too.

Bikes belong in neither place really. The bike lanes would be so much nicer if they were just bigger, especially if they were big enough for people to ride side-by-side and not be run over by cars. Then again, sometimes I see cyclists literally ridding on top of the white line that delineates the bike lane and road. I…

I have been trying to lose weight for 1 and a quarter years or so? Most of my weight was lost in the first year.

I just did this sort of thing a few days ago. I basically ate 700 calories over my goal every day for a week but as soon as I got home I went back to my typical (except for that klondike bar I ate today). It was a vacation. If I did the math though, all of those days only add up to maybe 1 lb of fat, if I'm lucky. I came…

Congrats on the first steps toward change. I agree that connecting with others helps. When I started I was pretty much up against a similar amount of weight. I lost the majority of mine within the year following a paleo-like diet. Of course, I haven't found it terribly hard to eat like this because I still eat a little bit…

Pretty normal. It's easy to overexert yourself early because you don't feel it until later. Either lighten up the exercise a little, use different parts of your body or take a day long break and see how you feel. Joints giving out though, feeling too loose, or feeling unbalanced like you might fall over are signs of…

I eat between 300 and 800 calories before lunch. It just depends on how long I think it will be until I can make a proper lunch. When I know I will be out a while or exerting myself, I eat a more calorically dense lunch. As for eggs, I love them. If you don't like them you shouldn't eat them all the time. With a typical…

These are my favorites. Coffee Smoothie - light, treat. 1 1/2 cups crushed iced 2 to 1 ounce shots of espresso OR use 3/4 cup of double strength (strong) coffee mixed with 1/2 cup of milk and increased crushed iced amount by 1/4 cup. 3/4 cup your choice of milk 3 tablespoons sugar or less, or splenda, or a banana if you…

I think spaghetti squash is fantastic. I like it as a side dish with butter or as noodles. Here are two recipes with spaghetti squash as noodles. I have made both and like both but am more partial to red sauces. http://bit.ly/11vwJio http://bit.ly/11vwPXi I'm sure there are many other ways to fix it.

My favorite frittata. A parsley veggie salad I had yesterday.

I don't believe you need to change your MFP calories. Why is 2100 calories too high? Your calorie goal will depend on your stats, goals and exercise habits. Are your accounts linked? Are exercise calories showing up below your food log on MFP?

Negative adjustments will take away calories from your myfitnesspal calorie goal to make your fitbit calorie goal (or closer) on days that you are less active. When you become more active, calories (positive) will be added to your eating allowance.

34-28-38 Pretty blurry pictures but I don't have any other recent ones that show my shape. I used to have 43" hips but they shrunk and didn't give my waist the memo.

I have to agree with everyone else in that candy is high calorie, high carb, low nutrition, and isn't very filling. I'm not disgusted by your diet but I couldn't live on it. As for changing, the only way to reduce your carbs without changing your foods is to reduce your portion sizes. But, you have a low calorie goal as it…

Quiet time, meditation, and yoga help me. I'm a very anxious, skittish person but I lose weight due to it from hyper-vigilance, lack of sleep, nausea, etc. Of course, my issues (supposedly PTSD and agoraphobia) make me more inclined to stay inside which can result in less exercise. I agree with the other poster that stress…

Tomorrow is another day. I ate too much dinner today; it tasted great but then I felt nauseous. Next time, I'll remember that feeling and be less prone to do it again but it isn't the first time and it won't be the last. No point in being angry about what you have done, just use it to change the future.

I have this problem too. First I had to cinch my belt, then roll my pants, and now my belt needs a new hole. But hey - it's a good thing, even though it's maddening. My only pair of slacks don't fit anymore but I'm ready for new things. Now I have to figure out what my new size is though. Good feeling though, huh?

21 and beginning my last year in August. Campus eating can be hard. I'm almost to goal as it is but of course those last 10 lbs can be difficult.

My diary is open. I eat primal/paleo with dairy so my diet is pretty high fat, and moderate carb but usually free of grains, beans, and vegetable oils. My diary has weird things in sometimes though; I love veggies and variety. I naturally eat few processed foods though.

I tried ditching shampoo and conditioner for over a month. I did not get to the second month because I have seborrheic dermatitis that is kept in check on my scalp by selenium sulfide shampoos. My hair would also tangle crazily. I have thin, wavy, fuzzy, somewhat dry hair that I washed once a week with conditioner and…

I run on a treadmill inside my home in a sports bra, and I have gone out into my yard in one. As for running down the street, sure, I don't care at all (and I have a little gut). I sweat crazily so I understand how it could be more comfortable. With the current temperatures in Florida right now though, running outside for…

Nope, I don't think not eating non-fish meats has anything to do with this. I have to agree that your calories are probably too low. I'm 5'0", and 120 lbs. I just started exercising 3x a week for 30 min. Usually, I only walk less than 3 miles a day doing normal living. I eat between 1200 and 1800 every day depending on how…
