it def can slow down your weight loss, but you should still loose the amount your calories are programmed for (like I ate all my exercise calories last week and lost 1 lb... which is what my program is supposed to do). For me, that is a-ok because sometimes I just need to be able to eat a little chocolate... u know? and…

QOTD– For a quick lunch/dinner: I have been eating a lot of nachos lately. I do a single serving of tortilla strips, ½ cup kidney beans over top with ¼ cup fat free cheddar cheese (can also add tomatoes, lettuce, peppers..). Pop in the microwave for 1 minute. It fills me up. I keep a big tub of mixed spring greens in my…

i have also been having problems getting nauseous after working out. I even threw up after my last work-out at the gym! I looked up some possible reasons. These are the three I found 1. Dehydration. Drink 2 cups of water 2 hours before working out, then 20 minutes before working out. While working out take small sips of…

lol! you are 2 funny! what helps me resist food that doesn't fit into my daily calories is saying these two quotes: Nothing tastes as good as HEALTHY and SEXY feels! If hunger isn't the problem, food isn't the solution. I actually stole these from someone else's signature. They have really helped me battle temptation!

I totally agree. Rant deserved!!

I've been thinking about my strategy also. I'm actually working overnight Thanksgiving Eve and then sleeping in the car while my husband drives us to see family. We'll make it there just in time for dinner... So I plan to work out 3 out of the 4 days before Thanksgiving. 2 days for 60-90 minutes and one 30-45 minutes.…

lol I don't even buy them anymore. I wind up eating the whole carton!! but I used to hide them in the bottom of the freezer under bags of frozen veggies, wrapped in a plastic bag, and underneath the plastic bag on the package there was a post-it with big writing that said DO NOT EAT! RACHEL'S!. if there were found... they…

Hey! You can add me. Tomorrow is my 1 week-iversary getting back on mfp, and I'm feeling the same way as you-- The more friends, the more support, the better! Getting on the website and reading blogs and message boards and stuff is what I do at home when I feel like I'm loosing focus so I'm on a lot, haha.

I agree. Your body needs at least 1200 calories a day or it goes into starvation mode. You can eat the same amount of food but choose calorie dense but nutritious foods like avocado, nuts, beans, whole milk, eggs, whole wheat bread (not the low calorie kind), regular yogurt, hummus etc. Try bruschetta. Delicious with olive…

THANKS! =D

You may also want to keep track of body measurements. You might be changing in your waist size but not your weight.

What are you doing to work out? A lot of weight lifting/strength training might mean you are building muscle which weighs more than fat. If this is the case increase your cardio. Even if its not all strength training and just doing the same workout over and over try something new to challenge your body in a new way!

Hey! I'm 23 (24 in a few weeks) and am looking to shape up. I just started myfitnesspal today so I'm really glad to find a group like this. I know I'm going to need support. I floated *gracefully* up to 174lbs after I got married and am now at a bountiful 172.4. I've been trying to change my lifestyle for awhile on and…
