I lived in the UK until I was 19. I weighed a lot less with little effort when I lived there. I live in the US now. Portions are very distorted here, and it is difficult to walk anywhere. I don't think there is a pavement within 20 miles of me. Lack of physical activity was definitely a big part in the weight I gained here.

Oatmeal. It will fill my husband up for hours, but I'll be hungry again an hour after eating. It's pretty annoying.

I spent two hours at the gym today and burned around 800 calories (weights, bike, elliptical). You'd have to put a lot of hours in.

After 4 days of no eating, you might've lost about 2lbs of fat. The rest is fluid loss. You need to rehydrate yourself, do not expect to keep off the whole 7lbs.

I have a belly roll (thanks kiddies) and I got some Old Navy compression leggings for when I'm out running in public. It keeps everything held down, they are amazing.

It makes me sad when people say things like that. Everyone started someone. I'm still considered obese, I have 4lbs left to lose until I am "overweight". I ran 4.2 miles this afternoon. I started by running 30 seconds. People want results and change over night.

I started C25K in July 2012. I repeated most weeks twice, to give my body more time to adjust. I started at 250lbs. I remember stalling so many times before the 20 minute run, lol. I've since completed four 5K races, and my longest run is over 4 miles. Been a long, but rewarding journey! Good luck to those working on it,…

How many miles a week do you run? The "general" suggestion is 10% a week, but that is not a set rule. You do not need to be doing three 5 mile runs a week either, just make your one long run longer.

I'm 5'10" and currently 215. Eating 1780 calories a day, I usually end up 1600-1800. I don't eat back exercise calories.
