  • CONGRATULATIONS on your 50lb weight loss. That is fabulous. If it is working for you right now, don't change it. You only lose weight if you do NOT eat back the calories; if you do, you would simply be maintaining your current weight.
  • Walking is always a good way to start. Start as slowly as you need to; then increase the distance each time. Increase length of time you walk until you are walking at least 30 minutes 5-6 days a week. Baby steps.
  • Try decaf coffee. Some people react to caffeine more than others. Cut back on sugar too. You could use some substitute like Stevia.

  • My doctor put me on Niaspan which is an extended release Niacin, to get my triglycerides down. To prevent or lessen the flushing try these steps: 1) take it before bed time. 2) 30 minutes before taking it, take an aspirin. 3) eat a small low calorie snack (like lo cal yogurt) 4) then take the Niacin.   • EXCELLENT!!! Great job. I am impressed with the 10K steps a day; that is quite an accomplishment. I know, I wear a pedometer and as I meet or exceed each weekly goal, I increase it each week. Only at 7,500 this week; but I know it keeps me on track to reach my goals. You are doing so well. Keep up the good work.
  • I would definitely keep track of your Blood Pressure; and your Blood Sugar; before and after your workouts.
