Uh, no. It's not a good idea to hijack your body's water balance. Eat potassium rich foods and drink more water instead.

It's like 99/1. Calories rule the whole process. Exercise, in terms of weight loss, is primarily just another way to create a calorie deficit. You can undo a zumba workout with a single large cookie, so managing calories is the most important by a huge margin.

I think her figure is just about my ideal. If guys want to think her arms are intimidating- well, those aren't the guys for me. ETA: I just looked it up- she's 5'2". YAY for shorty brickhouses.

OP- I forgot to mention this in my first post. I am very interested in this part of your post: How does that work? I feel like you must have a secret. Especially with 3 kids! TELL ME THE SECRET! (sorry about the yelling. I am stressed.)

I would just tell the trainer that you don't know how to use anything and let them show you everything. In a way- it could be a good thing. You have no bad habits to break! It's ideal that you have a trainer on board- don't feel like you have anything to show off to the trainer- it's their job to instruct you. Just go in…

In. I have bulky days. Today I'm feeling pretty bulky. Wah wah wah. I need chocolate.
-
I didn't gain weight, because I started lifting at the same time I started losing weight. But, I ended up having to raise my goal weight by 15lbs because I'm the same size now (if not smaller) than I once was at 15ish pounds heavier. (IDK if that makes sense- the wording feels awkward and I've reworded it a couple times to…

23% But it's very difficult to tell with the pictures provided.

Try an epsom salt bath and get to a Dr. ASAP

I can make a 50 calorie chocolate chip cookie using flour, butter, sugar, eggs and chocolate chips for 50 calories just by making them a little smaller than regular cookies. I'd much rather have a small real cookie than a banana and oat concoction.

So, like $39.99/mo? Do you accept paypal?

Second the Quest Bar- most flavors have around 20g protein and 17g fiber. I also put chocolate protein in my coffee every morning. I hit 70ish g protein before I even have food. Ground flax seed is a good source of fiber and Omega 3's.

Depends on the virus. Sounds pretty normal. I would try to eat what you can though- good nutrition will help your body fight the illness more effectively.

Sounds legit. Where do I get it? GNC?

If the only goal is to lose weight, you can do that by diet alone with no exercise. But if you like home workouts, then keep at it. You don't have to join a gym to be fit.

LOL I would cut a bish for giving me liver or apple cider vinegar when I want my coffee.

What specifically do you need to cleanse?

Once a week. More often if they get extra dirty. ;) When you're sleeping skin cells and oil and bacteria rub off and collect on the sheets, saliva drips, snot, etc. It's just kinda gross to leave that go for 3-6 months.

Usually you can just ask anybody nearby in between sets to spot you for a quick set. I've never had anyone refuse or even act annoyed about it. Just glance around and see who's playing with their phones or just looking around between sets. It's not wimpy to fail on a bench set. It happens sooner or later to everybody.…

Yeah, but the flip side is that as you get smaller each incremental lb/kg is more difficult to lose.

WOW. Cool generalization skills. Did you happen to see the post I made earlier with actual statistics relating socioeconomic status to obesity? Your insinuation is both insulting and incorrect.
-
Key findings Data from the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey, 2005–2008 -Among men, obesity prevalence is generally similar at all income levels, however, among non-Hispanic black and Mexican-American men those with higher income are more likely to be obese than those with low income. -Higher income women…

Congrats on the great start! I suspect you're seeing a lot of water weight losses combined with fat loss. There's only a limited amount of water to be lost at the beginning, and I would expect that the big numbers are about to slow down dramatically very soon. Don't freak out or be discouraged when it happens- you might…

Meh. If you are squatting correctly your hands aren't really doing much anyway.....except they're there to grab the bar if a safety issue does happen. I'm not really impressed by people removing safety precautions for show. When I hurt my back squatting it was on a warm up set with light weight. I missed the hook…

Congrats Chelle! I can't believe I missed this until now! You look fantastic and your progress is an inspiration for how you can balance your desires to indulge with your desire for results and succeed.

I'm very sorry you had this experience. It sounds like the people at your gym are quite rude. This is certainly not the norm for all gyms, and it might be worthwhile to gym-shop for a better place. I have a feeling that the people leaving weights racked was not intended as a personal diss towards you or any other…

There are 3 known, proven times when you can gain muscle on a deficit. 1) Steroids 2) Noob gains (Here's your 30 lb person that starts lifting), or returning to lifting from extended break (like injury) 3) Extreme obesity There's a 4th maybe involving very strict nutritional control and very slow gains- I think one…

I use this recipe to make all different kinds of cookies- anything chocolate-chip like- white chocolate macadamia, cinnamon chip, chocolate chunk, whatever. I know a chocolate chip recipe seems boring but if you perfect it you don't need other cookies! Here's the tricks- double the vanilla and.....this is the big…

@Ctrum69 - Where are you currently at in your program? Are you just starting an exercise program from being formerly sedentary? Are you looking to lose fat, gain muscle? What's your current BF%? What's your prior experience (did you used to be a distance runner or a cyclist or something?) I'm just trying to understand your…
