I'm with you on twice a week but you squat every time you go to the gym??? No offense but that's not right. Squat hard once a week, squat lighter once a week, and recover in between. If you're squatting everyday your squats are not where they can be.

btw ive never had high sugar

I have thyroid disease. It's not an excuse, once you are medicated (and figure out the quirks) you can lose weight the same as everybody else, but slower. If your friend diets and loses 5 lb in a month, expect that to take 3 months or more.
-
agreed. But more importantly if you have a paid person regulating your diet for your sport, listen to that person.
-
I'm going to give you real advice- move everyday and eat less. I should be a billionaire because that is the secret, move more and eat less. I will strongly discourage any diet under 1500 calories.

These are great, please keep them for later. me and my people are moving to vegqas

Hey Girl, I stand by everything I wrote. If y'all have issues, just holler and I'll train you.
-
Thanks! I've gained about 15lbs from my picture, and a lot of doughiness, but I'm coming back strong. Literally. You wouldn't believe how fast I went from nothing to 205lbs DL after a long time off. I started right off the bat at 135 squats and kept adding. Muscle memory is unbelievable- it's almost like I was on an…

I'll weigh in on the programs, I think stronglifts is my favorite beginner program. Starting strength is also technically good, but it's too complicated for my taste- to me, between the two, it's a personality thing. With stronglifts, your workouts are more routine, with starting strength, you get more variety. They're…

Hi Ladies, just wanted to say hi. Starting to train for my first ever competition in April! I have a coach (with 15 world records!) that is training me once a week, and I'm psyched. He has ripped apart my squat and deadlift so far, this week is bench. My current numbers (which are not PRs, I'm building back up to where I…

I have not. What I can tell you is that anything that gets you moving, where you feel productive and don't hate it is the right thing to do. You need to develop a habit of exercising, so choose something you like, and do it for a month straight, with one or two days where you go light a week but keep going. If it's…

You're going to want to check in with troop beverly hills.

Hi all..... Dave bullied me in to coming back....I have gone from the random woman in the freeweights section to being a woman that the men compliment. Now, I go and do my workouts and I do badass squats, or badass deadlifts, and mediocre bench presses and at this point, I get compliments regularly. These compliments are…

I wrote this last year, but it all still holds true (except I've now been in maintenance since April 2013). http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/844040-raspberry-ketones-for-the-rest-of-us?hl=raspberry+ketones+for+the+rest :drinker:

Yes, it definitely gets easier. Keep up the good work and great attitude! :drinker:

Abandon the idea that there are foods you shouldn't eat. Instead, figure out your TDEE, take a cut of no more than 20%, and set your macro goals to 30%p/30%F/40%C. Every day, eat a few different fruits and vegetables and focus on hitting your calorie goal within 50 calories and try to stick closely to your macro goals.…

I think that will really help you, it's a very positive step. Best of luck to you. :flowerforyou:

No? Is there a double entendre in this question I don't understand?

I wouldn't turn my nose up at a gas gift card.

Consult a professional. They will properly diagnose if you have a problem or not. Your parents won't be able to just send you to treatment if you don't have a problem. A professional will know if your parents are overreacting.
-
How many calories does having constantly rustled jimmies add to your TDEE? Should I just wear my HRM all day to find out?
-
OK, I'll concede to 2 minutes of stink eye being a confrontation. That's significant stink eye-ing.
-
I would suggest adjusting your settings for more protein. Most women do well with a minimum goal of 100-120g protein. I would probably have the protein shake if it fits in your calories.
-
You can't. The goal is to minimize muscle losses by eating a moderate deficit, adequate protein, and strength training.
-
I have always used the MFP enrty for strength training under cardio and eaten back 100% of the calories and it has always been good enough that it does not disrupt my predicted weight loss/maintenance by the numbers. So, it's good enough for me. At my weight it gives me just under 200 calories per hour.
-
Is giving someone the stink eye a confrontation?
-
Yeah we all have a bit of information bias towards issues that affect us personally. I have thyroid disease so I'm especially keyed in on issues that effect the thyroid. Coconut oil has been long recommended for thyroid patients, b/c of coconut magic. Turns out the magic is largely related to it being a saturated fat, and…
-
Not having enough saturated fat is a bad thing. I suggest looking in to the connection between saturated fat and thyroid hormones.

I don't ever snoop on my bf. It's a sure sign of distrust to even want to do it. Leave your friend's insecurities to her. You're fine.

At least your first edit made sense (though improbable). 10,000% more than normal? Normal WHAT? Normal FOOD is a little vague. A Dunkin' glazed donut has 12g of sugar. A medium apple is a pretty "normal" unmanufactured food with 13g sugar.....
