I don't think feeling depressed goes with calorie counting. Watch your diet and make sure you are getting enough B vitamins, a good muliple vitamin/mineral supplement may help. If the depression worsens or continues for a long period of time you may need to see your doctor.

not sure how many calories you are allowed each day, but rule of thumb is not to go under a 1000 calories a day, you won't lose if you stay below that number, and it is best to eat 1200 calories a day. so if i was below 1000 calories i think i would find something healthy like fruit to get my calorie intake to 1000.
