  • Mine was when my dad started losing weight uncontrollably from cancer and his treatments. There I was eating whatever I wanted and my dad just wished he could have something simple and not have a problem with it. I think it was a long time coming, though. Before that I knew I had an issue when I barely fit onto a roller…
  • I have a cheap one ($5) from Target that I can't trust. It varies from a few pounds to more than a few from try to try. I just ordered a digital Weight Watchers scale (I think Conair makes it) online. It measures the weight in between pounds, too. I am supposed to get it next week. When I get it, I will let you know what I…
  • You are doing really great! I'm happy for you for wanting to be healthy. My husband drops weight like nothing, too. He's sort of eating more like me (but still twice as much), and he's already losing weight. While that is awesome, it is a little discouraging at the same time, so I find a lot of comfort to find other people…
  • You and I sound very similar. I never did learn how to eat correctly, so I'm learning now. I want to add exercise a little at a time instead of going crazy with it all at once. We can do it!! We WILL do it.
  • You are right about exercise. Since I've been eating less I've been feeling more energy to move. We are planning on buying an elliptical machine soon, but when it stops snowing I am going to start walking easily first. Right now I've started parking farther away from places and playing with the kids more! Last time I tried…
  • Thank you all for your replies. I hope I added everyone or requested everyone. I can use all the support I can get. You guys are ALL an inspiration. Some of you have really tried (and succeeded) and some of you are taking the first steps. It's all really a lot to be proud of!
  • I had a teacher in the 5th grade who had a very large behind. Her shirts always rode up over her butt. I always thought her butt would serve well as a shelf. Fast forward a bunch of years: My little girl and husband are always pulling my shirts down over my big butt when it rides up and sits on top of my butt. Drives me…
  • Hi Danielle! At least you've still got a pretty face! :) My face doesn't seem to be doing it anymore for me, so now I really need to get it together (but more for my health). That's why I'm determined this time to lose the weight. I have a very long way to go, but I am convinced I can do it. You can too! Best of luck!
  • Yes...I always wear them when I have a cold. If a sneeze comes on all the sudden, most of the time I'm in trouble without them. Thanks, kids!! :noway:
  • I won't go to the gym or exercise publicly until I lose enough weight at home. Haha Also, when I take pictures I angle the camera and my head so you cannot see my double chin.
