I don't have anything either but this post makes me happy. Thanks for starting and sharing!

Personally, I'm always in favor of the frank conversation with the co-worker first. "Hey, I'm sure you are just joking around, but it makes me uncomfortable when you talk about my weight. I want us to be able to work well together, so I am coming directly to you with this to ask you to please stop." Or something of that…

Agree to disagree. I have never had a problem with this and lose weight very consistently. I don't worry much about fruits and veggies because they tend to be so low cal anyway. I think an estimate is fine. I guess I can see how this wouldn't work for everyone, but it isn't something all of us need to do to lose weight. It…

I don't weigh stuff like 1 banana...I just log "1 large banana" or whatever. Here's my reason...yes you could have several 50 calorie errors in a day but when you are eating at a daily defecit of 500 calories or more a day that adds up to 3,500 calorie defecit a week...50 calories here or there is not going to make or…

protein powders are also available in most grocery stores. I get mine in bulk at Sam's club.

I have "house shoes." Haflingers (clogs with cork soles) are amazing for anyone with hardwood floors. Those floors are killer on feet! Especially when you already have achy ones. The shoes can be worn outside, but I keep mine purely for indoor use so that I can wear them in other people's homes too. I love being barefoot,…

I do and I post a lot of recipes in my MFP blog. I've recently decided to do more meatless meals as well (at least one a week). I LOVE sharing food ideas! I've become a bit obsessed with emilybites.com in the last few months for recipe ideas. I sort of turned my nose up at it at first because everything seemed a bit too…

I have two ideas for you. 1. This isn't really crust, but it TOTALLY satisfies a pizza craving for me and, amazingly, everyone (including kids and picky eaters) I've ever made these for loves them. Skinnytaste.com's baked eggplant sticks. They are breaded with italian breadcrums and parm cheese and baked, then you dip in…

Agree!!!! Very good point.

I would love it if it was always available in some form...though I must say I do not like it so "in your face" as to be on every menu item all the time...example: needed something to eat at the airport in NY. Slim pickings. Went to a sports bar type place where every menu item had the nutritional info...couldn't find…

I'm 3 months in to loosing 25 pounds. I'm 17 down. It takes a while. I probably have 2 more months to go but have been aiming for mid June since the get go, so I'm still pretty much on track. Loss has gotten slower, but a lot of that I think has to do with more social events, travel etc. this time of year. I've been aiming…

I think it's cool for a guy to do yoga. My boyfriend has in the past and he is very masculine and not at all granola or whatever you might think a yoga dude might be. I think it's just all about being confident with yourself. It's just about embracing it...if you enjoy it, then go for it! It will make you a more well…

I feel ya. In the past I've always set my goals to lose 2 lbs per week (1200 cals a day) and have had varying degrees of success...I started out after the first of the year this year wanting to lose weight and frustrated with myself because every time I'd try I'd end up giving up. So I decided to be easier on myself (I…

Cook something with them, like chicken noodle soup or beef stew. I don't really eat carrots just to eat them. Not often. Of course ranch dressing always improves them if you are going raw :-)

This. Totally true. I never notice if I get looks or whatever but I'm told I do once in a while. I agree there are people that ALWAYS think they are being hit on and in reality...they are probably only right a small portion of the time. Most girls that wear fake engagement rings I would put in this category.

I can't say I've ever tried this or heard of anyone trying it (but I'm going to now that I've thought of it because of your post!) but laughing cow cheese wedges actually melt very well...try cooked vegetables (broccoli would be my first experiment) and a cut up wedge of whatever laughing cow cheese sounds good to you (I…

I work as a corporate trainer/program developer. Most days at my desk. Lots of people bringing in goodies or lunches catered in. I've been hooked on mason jar salads for several months. I make them for my boyfriend and I on Sunday for the whole week. I love mixing it up and trying to find new salad recipes I love (like…

You got it. If the people around you are happier, you and baby will be too. Good luck!

Lands end has really nice quality swim wear with a lot of mix and match options. They have several swim skirt options in different lengths depending if you want to be a little more covered. It sounds like that's not your concern so their swim minis are great if you just don't want all that thigh out there but aren't trying…

I'm not a mom, but I was a flight attendant and a trainer for a number of years. In my experience, you can soften the moods of the people around you (and your crew) by bringing some kind of a treat. I once had a new mother bring candy bars for all the people around her and the crew that had a note with a picture of her…

You sound like my weight loss twin. Lol. I would guess you are not eating enough calories if you are being active too. Personally I've had a lot more success being easier on myself and shooting for 1 lb weighloss a week instead of 2...that ups my calorie intake a bit and gives me just enough wiggle room in my diet that I…

It really depends on what your criteria is a for heathier altervative. Are you talking calories? Carbs? Or something else completely? You mentioned "clean" diets, so I'm guessing that's your focus and if that's the case...why not have the cider beer? I can't think of anything that might be a better option for a clean diet,…

9 AM is fine for breakfast. I think when the experts stress the importance of eating breakfast it's as opposed to not eating anything till lunch time (or later). For a lot of people, this would cause them to overeat once they do eat because you are so hungry. I think that's why eating breakfast is viewed as so important.…

Maybe try some dresses with a bit of strech to them. I find they tend to be a bit more flexible. Non formfitting is probably better for this. I have several in wrap styles and emire waist types that work great (fell into the habbit of too many of these though and it can get easily not to notice weight gain!). I'm not real…

I am a big snacker, so it's just something I fit into my day. I know it's going to happen if I don't plan for it, so I better plan for it! I eat about a 100-200 calories for breakfast most days, I try to have a lunch around 300 calories and I try to keep dinner around 400 calories. Not much I know. But I snack all day. By…

Recipe builder is great. I just wish MFP would add a way to organize the recipes better into folders or something. my list is pretty big now. I also wish there was a way to edit and save to my own list recipes from the database that I've edited...example, recipe calls for regular cheese and I use reduced fat or leave…

Sorry you got "the rash" (sounds like a horror film doesn't it?) Fitbit has said they will come out with a replacement for the force (how soon I don't know). I have the force, purchased a few weeks before the recall. I love it. No rash and worn it every day since mid February. I hope that is long enough to know I won't get…

I used to be a flight attendant...there were certain cities we would fly to that we would run out of seatbelt extensions routinely. Most flights we didn't use any so that is saying something.

For me I think it's all about food inspiration. Pinterest offers me a lot of this as well as favorite food bloggers of mine (that I've mainly discovered through pinterest). I have such a long list of recipes I am dying to try that I have to cook all the time to make a dent (but of course the list just gets longer anyway).…

I make shredded chicken in the crockpot a lot...buffalo shredded chicken or BBQ shredded chicken mostly but can do plain, taco, salsa or other types. I like to make a bunch and use some for dinner on rolls, in tacos or quesadillas and use the rest for salads for lunch.
