I've been down with stomach flu for the past week. Today is the first day that I felt normal and I forced myself to the gym even though I really didn't want to. I thought I wouldn't manage my whole workout but I pushed through and completed it. My brain kept telling me to stop. I didn't quit. Big NSV for me!

W7D1 done and I ran 3.15km in that time. I can't believe that it was only weeks ago that I struggled with a 2 minute run! Can't wait to reach week 8!

Sunday morning for me. Everyday puts me in an obsessive frame of mind and then the results tend to dictate my mood for the day.

I reduced my speed from 6.3 mph to 5.8 and went back two runs to W3D3. No more shin splints and I actually found it easy! So much so that I kept jogging past the stop time on the last run. I'm looking forward to my next one now.

I don't have planet fitness as I'm in Ireland. My gym is small and the weight section is always full of twenty something men which I find a bit intimidating! I have a bench, barbell and free weights at home.

Thanks all

Does anyone run in kph? I did week 4 day 2 yesterday and had to stop due to painful shin splints. I was so disappointed in myself but after reading these posts I think I may be running too fast.

Wow amazing! Congratulations!

I'm in! I drink socially at least once a week and tend to go completely overboard. The next day is always a write off. This is going to be tough!

I used to feel the same way but I just stopped thinking about it. Think about it this way, do you stare at people in the gym? No. Mostly likely, you don't. So, no one is looking at you. They are concentrating on how hard they are sweating!

Wow! Congratulations!
