I know exactly what you are talking about. And personally, I don't have a problem with taking pills to curb appetite. It was the only way I could get my calories down to a good range without feeling like I am always starving. Some people mentioned eating more protein, but I don't think that is the whole story. I think for…

Ditto here. I allow myself a couple cheat days where I allow 400-500 extra calories a day before that time of the month. I figure if I am craving more calories, maybe my body needs them, and two days back up to normal calorie intake isn't gonna hurt in the long run.

Welcome! I log in every day, and I post on a blog occasionally. Feel free to add me. I need more friends too.

I've had thyroid type symptoms for many years but have never been diagnosed. My doctor finally took a thyroid test and my TSH was above normal, but my T3 and T4 were normal so he didn't do a thing about it. In the meantime, my mom found a book that gave some suggestions about how to help your symptoms even if you aren't…

I could be totally off, so take this with a grain of salt. My first thought is that your blood sugar levels could be really off and crazy if you are only eating once or twice a day. Your body may be in starvation mode, and storing all it can when you finally do eat. I've noticed that when I cut my calories way back, my…

I was addicted to food for awhile. I wanted to eat even when I wasn't hungry, and sometimes that feeling comes back every once in awhile. To break the habit, I cut out all junk foods, and cut back on my carb intake so I could get my blood sugar under control. I tried to eat satiating foods like high quality eggs, grass fed…

^^^^^This answer is perfect. Protein in diet, more weight in strength training, less reps, max out your muscles till you can't lift anymore, eat more calories for muscle building.

Getting sick after you eat is an indication that your blood sugar levels are low and your metabolism is slowing down while your body starts shifting gears to use muscle for energy. A good way to avoid feeling sick when you first get up and eat is to avoid making your body go into a low blood sugar droop. You can do this by…

I still own one and I am a lady. They come in handy when you need to do a lot of math on your feet.

I agree with this. I have a Polar FS2C and my husband has the FT4 and they are both excellent.

I'm going low carb, but only because I am doing a lot of weight training during my exercise routine each day, and I want to make sure I have enough protein to build muscle. I am also doing low carb because I find that carbs make me feel more hungry during the day. If I stick to mostly protein and fats, I can maintain my…

Loved this. Thank you for writing it.

I always work out if I can, but I find that I am usually slower and have less energy. Just do what you can.

I second this. Just get up tomorrow and continue on. Everyone stumbles. Don't let your head get to you.
