Especially fish oil / omega 3!

That's the spirit!

How often do you get these other tests done- free T3 and T4? And how much do the labs cost? My insurance won't kick in til the start of next year, and even then I have no idea if they'll be covered. I just see a GP, not an endo, but so far he's been pretty accommodating.

Looks like you may just be our winner this week, grats brealschaff!

Agreed, give it a couple days to level out. Unless you experience serious things like heart palpitations or shortness of breath. Then call the doc ASAP.

Texas licenses don't show your weight either, must be because they know everything is bigger in Texas!

There's a pretty wide range that's considered "normal". You may still be at one end of that range, or you may be one of those folks that just has better luck with either armour ("natural" thyroid hormone) or cytomel. I don't know much about cytomel, but armour has both T3 and T4, whereas synthroid (aka levothyroxin) only…

Stepped on the scale this morning and was thrilled to see that I already met the goal for next week... But then I re-hydrated myself after all that alcohol last night and gained a pound and a half! hahaha can't underestimate that water weight.

Howdy! Welcome. If you haven't already, you may wanna check out the other hypo group- it's much more active.

Way to go, Kelly, Charm, and everyone else! I see that one person has already lost their ENTIRE 6% haha can we say typo? At least I hope it is, I don't want to encourage anorexia.

Keep in mind that with squats, unless you're doing them on an incline machine (I think they're called "hack squats"), then you are doing 45 lb PLUS your body weight. I don't think I've ever experienced this to the extreme you're describing though- when you did try upper body work, how heavy were your dumbbells? If the…

Glad you asked, I was just starting to wonder if I would need to cut mine back. I think for now it's just working a little better than usual, I feel more energetic but not tachycardiac or overly jittery.

So when the text for that week changes from "GOAL ACHIEVED!" to "YOU CAN DO IT!" does that mean you haven't met the weekly goal yet? or that you have? Also, I just figured out that your merenda is our nutella and YES that stuff is addictive!

I'm doing great so far, but when I plugged in today's weight to see if I had hit the weekly goal yet, it didn't look like I had...

I'm in! My original goal was to hit 250 by the end of the year, but I slacked off for at least a couple months, so that doesn't seem very feasible anymore :(

I bought GW2, but since Dark Souls was released on PC at around the same time, it's been consuming all my gaming time. I also throw in some Borderlands 2 or BF3 when I feel like shooting things in the face.

How'd you do it? I also lost a little weight before I started using MFP, and have been looking for a place to do just that.

Hi guys, I'm Steph. I've been heavy most of my life, with the exception of 2-3 years of fitness near the end of high school. Been trying to lose for the better part of this year, got down to ~280 from ~300 and have just plateaued and yo-yo'ed around there for a couple months now, so I'm trying to get moving back in the…

It definitely feels like if I do cardio first, I am "running hotter" for the weights, in that my heart rate/breathing are more elevated throughout than they would be if I lifted first. Which seems like it should be a good thing. Subjective, but that's just my 2 cents.

Not a whole lot more expensive, I don't use insurance and at Sam's both my 60mg Armour and my 150mcg levothyroxin are less than $10 each. I think maybe one is $6 and the other is $8. You don't need a Sam's membership or card to use just the pharmacy.
