We eat the same things in my house, just different portion sizes based upon each of our needs.

I will say I love my gym. We are still in the honeymoon stage though. I found it three and a half weeks ago. I try to go at least 6 times a week and I have no real complaints at all. If someone doesn't wipe the equipment it's okay because i wipe beforehand.

Yep! For those that hate when someone gets on the treadmill next to them... it probably has nothing to do with you being there. I have favorite machines. They tend to be machines that pick up my HR more easily, that squeak or rock less, that are in the right spot compared to the fan, or in front of a TV I like. If you are…

I think 1200 is what MFP sets a lot of people at. It set me at 1200 calories and I also struggle some days to eat it. Other days it doesn't feel like enough so I eat more. I base it on how I actually feel. I also try to eat most if not all of my exercise calories back. I'm currently losing weight and gaining muscle and…

I'm 5'7 with a starting weight of 172, current weight of 168. I'm hoping to be 135 soon. ETA 135 is just a number smack in the middle of what would be a healthy BMI for my height. My actual goal is much more appearance related and I'm getting there.... slowly slowly slowly.

At my oldest son's birthday someone took a photo of me that looked very similar to me when I was 7 months pregnant. I started making small lifestyle changes then (in May) but didn't put the time or effort into it that was needed. I lost a few pounds, but after school started my husband and I decided to get serious. We…

This is the main point that some are missing. The original poster is clearly asking for alternative snack ideas. It isn't a debate about healthy vs. not healthy or macro is a macro. It is a request for alternative options. What works for one person will not work for everyone. If you can happily eat your brownie and add…

I agree about adding in some more fruits and veggies. Otherwise it looks good. Is that a filling lunch for you?

I was told that a lot of muscle pain usually is accompanied with a gain because your muscles swell and hold more water when they are healing. I do not know if this is actually true, but if it is it might explain your gain.

I'm down 3.8 lbs. This is my second week actually using MFP even though I've been a member for longer. I've been going to the gym at least 5 days a week and doing some ab work at home. DH and I are starting 30ds also. I'm watching what I eat, but only strictly Sun-Fri. Friday or Saturday I allow myself 1 cheat meal and…

I do the same and add in more exercise if I want to eat a little more or have a glass of wine so it balances. I also try to eat things high in protein so I'm full longer. My average meal plan is something like this: Breakfast: Special K w/ red Berries and skim milk Lunch: Capri Super-V pouch (I grab those because they are…

You look amazing! I see a huge difference. I'm about to try the 30 day shred with my husband. I hope my results are as good.

These are very inspiring! I started at 172 months ago, dropped to 166 and then fell off the wagon. I gained a few pounds, but I've been back on the wagon and exercised for at least an hour (cardio) 6 of the past 8 days with some strength training as well so I'm hoping to actually see results and stick with it. Thank you…
