I eat high protein, moderate carbs, and lowish calories (around 1300 if I do not exercise, around 1600-1800 with exercise). The high protein and moderate carb balance seems to help me feel satisfied longer AND I have had less blood sugar issues. My blood sugar tends to drop very low. I had previously tried just lowering…

I LOVE turkey bacon. I like real bacon too, but most of the time I find it too greasy. The key to turkey bacon is do not microwave it. Yuck. I fry it up on the stove with fresh ground pepper until it is crisp (yes, it does get crisp before it burns, at least the kind I use does). It is delicious. Both my husband and my two…

Don't watch any news station (especially Fox News, lol). Do actual research. Read articles. Look up records. Review stances and past votes. Check fact checking sites and other NON-PARTISAN sites.

When I started really tracking my calories and exercising a month and a half ago I had a belly. People asked if I was pregnant. Since then I am down 12 lbs and the belly is barely noticeable. I have 24 lbs to go, but it's moving steadily. I have slightly lowered my carbs, but I know that for ME a true low carb/no carb diet…

I have the FT7 and it works great. I've been using it for a few weeks now (got it for my birthday). I really like the it syncs with the gym equipment because prior to having the hrm I was having difficulties getting the equipment to pick up my heart rate from te sensors. The display on the FT7 is nice and big, but not too…

You might have a gain from water weight due to working out your muscles (I read that can happen, but I'm not 100% on it). Otherwise, I think you probably should try to up your calories some.

lol wth?

I know lots of people that have switched to those e-cigarettes that use flavoring, nicotine, and water vapor. Less chemicals, less harmful smoke, and much less chance of affecting anyone else. Plus, here in Ohio you can smoke those anywhere since they only release water vapor. WIN all around. If you feel that you are…

You look fantastic! WTG!

I don't honestly think the vast majority are selfish or persecuted. Yes, some smokers are selfish and do not care a bit about the health of others around them. Some smokers litter their butts. Not all smokers are like this. Additionally, there are people that are rude and combative to people that smoke. However, this is…

It's definitely different for everyone. I lost a pants size with 2-3 inches lost all over my body and 7 lbs.

I don't think anyone should lecture someone for something they do unless they are doing it in a way that harms other people. If you smoke around my children I will certainly say something. If you smoke in your own private home or out in the open away from other people that is totally your business.

They haven't in Ohio where I live. Bars and clubs are just as busy (or slow) as they were prior to the ban. Restaurants actually seem to have LONGER wait lists and are busier.
-
If something I enjoy is harming someone else then it is no longer my right to enjoy it in a way that would harm others.

It's not the vagary that is the concern. It is the smoke and the potential effects it could have on a child's health if they are breathing it in. I also keep my children as far from exhaust fumes as possible and I put poisons in the home up in high places they cannot reach. I can't protect them from everything, but when…

I think most of the people here don't care if someone smokes, they just wish most people were as respectful as you are about it. I do think the vast majority of people do not want to be around someone smoking and that is why public bans are occurring. In almost every case the bans were voted on and the majority voted for…

Your argument is a fallacy. http://www.nizkor.org/features/fallacies/relativist-fallacy.html Add me as another from Ohio that is thankful for the ban. I've also noticed a decrease in the number of smokers here. A LOT of people I know have quit and the smoking ban made that much easier for them. Do what you want to your own…

I love my gym and I use it all the time for cardio, various classes, and some strength training. I will be looking more at strength training soon, but I'm waiting until someone can show me how to do some things so I don't injure myself. However, I'm lucky and my gym is a block away so I really have no excuse not to go. If…

I eat some back. but not all. It really depends on how hungry I am. If I'm hungry I eat. I'm not willing to deny myself food when I can find something nutritious and filling. If I'm not hungry I meet my minimum and don't push it.

I try to have something small with protein right before working out and my actual meal (usually dinner) after.

I agree with the person that mentioned getting them altered. I think you look beautiful.

I'm down 2 lbs for a total of 5.8 lbs since Sept 9th.

Really? I'm no fashionista so perhaps I'm just clueless, but I was thinking it looked really cute. If I saw you out I would think you looked fun.

Every morning after I pee and before I get dressed. However, I only count it on Fridays. Every other day I use it as a guide to see if things are going in the direction I want. If I'm gaining then I adjust. If I'm losing I stay the course.

I have lower back issues so after I exercise I have my husband help me apply Tiger Balm before bed. The next day it feels fine.
