You won't "bulk up" with weight training, if you are doing it correctly. You need to build muscle to burn fat!! When you're doing your cardio, are you reaching and maintaining your target heart rate zone, your max fat burning zone?

Welcome!! You will get lots of support here!!! Just remember, set reasonable, achievable goals. Go for short term goals so they are more easily attainable. And, most important, you didn't put the weight on over night so don't be discouraged when it doesn't come off over night. I've been on my journey for 16 months now.…

Going in October is awesome!! The Epcot Wine and Food Festival will be going on and it is SO much fun!!! You basically get 1 bite tastes at each of the countries...and the 20 or so others they bring in...for a small fee. Then you can pick and choose what you'd like and still do ok with your nutrition.

the Quinoa Salad at Be Our Guest is FANTASTIC!!! But try to go for Lunch because dinner is reservations only.

I came home with a 2 1/2 pound loss from Disney. Just make wise choices. Dont have a Mickey Ice Cream twice a day, or a churro at every stop. And keep up with your water. Does your hotel have a fitness room? Use it! Even if you've got to get up a little earlier to get in your 4% (1 hour). YOU CAN DEFINITELY DO IT!!!

Have a good complex carb along with a protein before heading to the gym. Carbs are your body's energy.

I am not a professional, yet. But for the last 12 months or so I have been following a 45% Carbs, 15% fats and 40% protein diet, on 1200 calories on rest days and 1500 on others. 3 days a week I get in 30-45 min of cardio plus heavy weight and TRX training, the other 2-3 days I work on 45-60 min of cardio only. This has…

Eating back your calories is great for maintenance, but if you are trying to lose, I recommend not following that practice. Also, if you are hungry after exercise, you may not be eating the right things. Change, and keep and eye on, where your calories are coming from. Try to eat 40% Carbs, 20% Fats and 40% Proteins. When…

I used to have the same problem. For me, it came down to ill fitting shoes and form. Once I finally got the correct sized shoes (I went down 1 1/2 sizes as I lost weight), and started putting more follow through on my heels, it stopped. Good Luck! Let us know what's worked!!

If one a day makes you happy, why not? BUT...cut your sugars somewhere else. Or, if it's the caffeine you are after, try a B12 vitamin. It will give you the perk without the caffeine or the sugar.

I have 4 egg whites every morning. I haven't had any issues.

An apple sliced up with 1 Tbsp of peanut butter. Gets me through the afternoon!

YAY!! I am too!!! Working on getting to normal!!! You can do it!!! :flowerforyou:

My diary is open and I will add you now. Please take a look and see if anything works for you. I do drink 1 liquid protein a day but you can skip that and just add more protein to your meal. I focus a lot on the percentages of where my calories come from so some days may look like I"m all over the board, but there is a…

Give them back to the girls you bought them from. Most troops have booths outside of stores. Consider your purchase a donation and let them resell them.

Awesome!! That's a giant step in the right direction!!!

I agree with others...Talk to your doctor. but...I can tell you that if you are working out and eating only 1200 calories, I don't think you are eating enough! You will gain! Try to up to 1500 and WATCH YOUR PERCENTAGES!! Set your goals at 45%Carbs, 40%Protein and 15%Fats. Once I really started watching my percentages, the…

Hi! I have been on this journey, again, since Jan 2012. I have learned a lot, experimented a lot, and most importantly, trusted my trainer and my body. I have lost 42 pounds, despite 2 surgeries in the last year, with about another 15 or so to go. I plateaued last summer so changed my diet, somewhat. I currently eat 1500…

Hi Autumn, I have been working with a trainer for a little over a year. She has me on a 1500 calorie diet on the days I exercise for more than 45 min. On my rest days, i eat 1200 calories. But more importantly, you've got to look at where the calories are coming from. 45% should be carbs (good carbs, whole grains, brown…

Congrats!! You look great!!!

You're not too old!! I"m 44 next month and have had great success with MFP! I journal almost every day...sometimes I just need a "mental day" or two. You can do it!!!

I take 113g of carbs every day. I've been following a 1500 calorie diet where 45% comes from carbs, 40% from protein and 15% from fats. I have lost 35#, with about 20 left to go. Once I paid as much attention to the percentages, in addition to the calories, I really started losing quickly. I also exercise 5-6 days a week…

Chocolate! I keep bite sized Hershey's in my freezer. When I have a sweet tooth, I grab one, scan it in MFP and move on. Then you're feeding your craving but also holding yourself accountable.
