  • TOSS OLD CLOTHES!!!
  • Hi Nortx, You HAVE to eat all your calories!! Don't feel guilty about it, your body needs them!! Losing 1-1 1/2 pounds per week is right on target...you are doing well!! If you can start building some muscle it will help you burn fat too...Muscle burns fat! Your body needs all 1200 calories so don't feel guilty!!! :-)
  • Carbs % should always be higher than Protein. Your body needs the carbs for energy!
  • I asked my trainer the same question. She said that yes, you can. Your protein should be 35% of your caloric intake. I've been working really hard concentrating on percentages of Carbs (45%), Protein (35%) and Fat (20%) and I'm dropping weight like crazy! Of course, I do exercise 5 days a week too.
  • My trainer and I have talked about exercise and if you arent building muscle, you won't lose as quickly and it will be harder to keep it off. Be sure to be doing weight training as well.
  • I am actually on a 1200 calorie diet on "non exercise" days, 1500 on "exercise" days. It's not easy but as I've been going along, it's gotten much easier! My typical diet is: For Breakfast, 4 egg whites and a slice of ezekiel bread, Lunch is typically a big salad with measured out couscous (for the carbs), 100 calorie…

Add to that 2 slices of Ezekiel Bread and I'm good to go until at least lunch! Ezekiel bread is found in the freezer of the organic food section of your grocer. If you decide to try it, go with…
  • I use my food scale almost every day! It's so easy to do a quick measure so you know you are getting the correct portions. Good Luck!
  • Welcome! I became a member of MFP about a month ago at the urging of my trainer and it's been going really well! I journal EVERY DAY, even if I go over my allotted calories, because if I don't, its easy to slip and not go back. My food diary is open so ifyou'd like to take a look at what I eat in a typical day (though this…
  • I love The Biggest Loser. I've watched every season, sometimes being motivated by it, other times disappointed. Last night was a HUGE disappointment. To leave just because you don't think the game is fair?!?!?! They may not think they are quitters, but guess what...They're quitters!! Big time!!!
