I am doing W6D3 tomorrow... No more walking intervals for me! Going from W5D3 (running 20 min) to W6 D1&2 I was worried about going back to intervals... Day 1 was hard, but on Day 2 I 'almost' welcomed the walk break. I am ready, though, to just get out there and run!! Starting slow and getting in to rhythm is definitely…

Way to go Beattie!!

Great job! You'll get there :)

I worry about going back to intervals on W6D1 for this very reason! I feel like I can probably go farther without the walking! Lol! I'll see how it is tomorrow, I guess!

@beattie1 - sorry you are having knee pain still! Thankfully mine has subsided... I did W5D3 today! 20 minutes straight! It was hard at first but then I got into a rhythm and was zoned out... felt pretty strong even at the end.

I have completed W5d2... Gearing up for the big 20 min run on day 3... Not sure if I will get to do it tomorrow or Friday. (The weather forecast for tomorrow is questionable...)

This is how I am doing it... So one week I do 3 days and the next I do 4. I try to walk everyday (aside from the program) and do strength training 2-3 days a week. I did W4D2 this morning. Good luck and most importantly, listen to your body - it will tell you if you are doing too much!

I usually am in bed by 9:30 and up at 5:15 to work out...

I am going on 30 days straight and plan to continue on that path. My diary is open (the good, the bad and the ugly!). Friend request sent. Anyone else, feel free to add me as well! I am always looking for encouraging/consistent friends!

Dis W3D2 this morning. Had a little knee pain, but it got better the further I went. Guess it was just stiff at 6 am!

I agree with all of this! If a C25K program seems too 'fast-paced' you might check out the book "Run Your Butt Off" by the running coaches at Runner's World. They talk about breathing, pace (SLOW!!), and tips on stretching/cool down etc. Best of luck!

Great job!

Dee? Are you gonna go to 10K with me?? :)
-
I have about 65 to lose. Feel free to add me :)

Just finished W1D3 today, so far so good! I also just downloaded Zen labs couch to 10K and plan to start it at the end of week 8. My ultimate goal is a half, hopefully next year! I'm looking for as much support as I can get, so if anyone wants a new friend feel free to add me!

I am using the same one as you (on iPhone)... I just usually have to remind myself I'm not going to die! I'm starting Week 2 Sunday, feel free to add me and we can help keep each other accountable!

I use C25K Free (by Zen Labs) from the Apple app store on my iPhone. It allows me to listen to my own music, it just "dings" and says "start running"/"start walking" at the appropriate intervals. It is so nice not to have to watch a clock!

I, like you, signed up a long time ago but never got serious. I am also at my heaviest (aside from pregnancy) and have decided that IT IS TIME!!! I "re-started" on Monday. Let's help keep each other accountable!
